whilst she should be included, i feel like the list was made to bring attention to some less-known lgbtq artists who perhaps could gain more attention and exposure. i think gaga's fine in that regard :ally:

I love Gaga, but when was the last time she talked about or even mentioned her bisexuality? Added to the fact that she’s never been in a public relationship with a woman. I know she’s bisexual and I’m not saying she isn’t, but you can’t blame news outlets for forgetting it... they aren’t rewatching old interviews and discussing her private life every day like we do. It seems we’re more concerned about everyone acknowledging her bisexuality than she is... if it matter to her she can just post something on social media and it would set everyone straight

It's not about whether she cares or not, it's an issue a lot of bisexual people and the bi+ community as a whole deal with.

She has mentioned being bi in an interview this month and she acknowledged her attraction to women all throughout 2019. Things she shouldn't even have to do because coming out once should be enough. If someone came out as gay or lesbian, they wouldn't be questioned years later whether they're still that. It's biphobic and we absolutely can blame news outlets for not doing proper research.

I was talking about her bisexuality 😭

Even in the case of her sexuality, she would get less recognition than an artist who is fully gay/lesbian.

I was told Bisexuals are the always the most overlooked and disrespected part of the LGBTQ.

Calm down lol, bi people are in their list:enigma:

And let's not pretend that Gaga has talked much about her bisexuality since the ARTPOP days

Let's not pretend she hasn't.

Yes, that's exactly the issue I'm pointing out. But many gays aren't ready for that conversation :trollga:

Gaga hasn't done an interview this month lol, but I'd love to see her mention of it from 2019

Does she not talk about it at every single Jazz and Piano show? Also, at Pride 2019. People just like to ignore it when she does bring it up.

Gaga is already on top of the world. I don’t see a problem with focusing on lesser known LGBT artists.

It was published this month in Tribu Move, a French gay magazine

ImTired

Well. This is like the third time this year, with these billboard articles. At this point, it seems intentional. So let's think this through and play Sherlock for a second:

Billboard loooooooves Gaga, we all know it. Billboard has phones (duh). Lady gaga and her entire team have phones (duh). At some point they would have clarified with gaga and her team, right? Lets be clear. Gaga and billboard are on GREAT terms. And Gaga herself has tap danced around it previously, on drag race and whatnot. Maybe it is true that she no longer self identifies as bisexual.

FOR ME, I'm a HUGE gay, but I've had sex with women. I dont want to anymore, would not, and I don't self identify as such. But that doesnt change the fact that I did previously and enjoyed it. Dated women for years. It doesnt mean I MUST identify as bi now. I would be offended if people online screamed I MUST identify as bi because I dated and slept with women in high school. So, I do  think people need to stop with this bi-erasure narrative because it COULD be that it's not respecting her truth right now. Maybe we should read the tea leave and stop trying to force her to identify as something she doesnt want to. However, NOTHING changes the fact that she is one of the most vocal LGBT allies today. Gaga is smart and would never say ANYTHING that could be construed as "you can change orientations".  So maybe we can all just respect where she is now and LOVE her for being that neverending ally. 💗💗💗

PS. Bi-erasure is real. Its insidious. Its gross. It needs to be dealt with in our entire community and society at large. I'm just not sure this is it, given the circumstances: see above.

Well, I wouldn't bet it's a real interview, but even if it is, do you expect it to have any kind of impact? I'm French and I can confirm that nobody knows about this magazine

If she said it on TV I would agree with you, but she never mentions it at impactful events:bradley:

There isn't a problem with that. The only problem is with people completely ignoring or even denying that she even is one. Because that happens way too much and in my experience it's tiring for bisexuals to watch.
