Good I hope they come in and fix the crap that was the last film.

I feel like if they hadn't filmed the auction at the manor it would have been a lot better. The general idea of the script was good and sets it up for an interesting continuation, but the atmosphere for the film somehow felt light.

It was supposed to be horror :air: (sorry that was just funny to me)

Everything after the island got destroyed was just bad. It was like a bitter drunk person wrote the last act of the movie. :grr:

It just lost all sense of logic and realism.

You literally had dinosaurs breaking the fourth wall and winking and smiling at the camera. :smh:

I feel like that movie was necessary because they had to get the dinosaurs of the island and into the world in a somewhat plausible manner.

re CC it looks kinda basic? It’s like they’ve taken all the memorable bits from the films and stuck them into an animated kids series

Animation looks cheap as hell but I’ll watch and see if it’s any good...

I'm not even scared watching it under the influence at 2am :triggered: I appreciate the small bits of humor present in every Jurassic Park movie, but it's like they're trying too hard to keep it family friendly when they should be focusing on the 20-50 age group that grew up with the movies or can still appreciate the merits of the original film.

I agree unfortunately. Jurassic Park is amazing (my favorite film ever) and Jurassic World is a great return to it. But any other sequel (Lost World, 3, Fallen Kingdom) somehow lose the magic. The thing that gives me faith in Dominion is the idea that dinosaurs are gonna impact the world (the short film that teases it was pretty well done).

Jurassic Park is definitely one of the greatest movies ever made. The effects still hold up and I listen to the score every few days. I absolutely love dinosaurs and that damn movie.

JW was...okay. I think the quality matches the order they came out. I didn't like all the CGI in JW though, and I thought the set pieces were a tad...eh.

Plus while I understand they had technology in the original that perhaps didn't exist, it felt not over the top. Those rolling balls from Jurassic World were :saladga:

I’m so interested in this, but the animation doesn’t look great. More like a video game from 2010 or something?

I would have loved to see the original in theaters. If there's a single film made for theaters, it's JP.

I kinda get what you're saying with the CGI, though it at least doesn't look cheap. I feel like there's an obligation to go over the top, because I feel it would have been bashed had it not used the available technology to create a more "lively" film and the gyrospheres were probably the best answer to "how can we get people as close as possible to the dinosaurs". Also, I feel like it shows the extent to which "visitors got bored of the park" (which was the reason to make the Indominous Rex) because what's left after creating air bubbles to interact with the animals?

They do re-releases sometimes. I plan on seeing it in theaters eventually.

Yeah but they caught a lot of crap after primarily using CGI in JW. One of the reasons JP was so successful was how realistic the dinosaurs looked.

And don't get me started on the IR. At least the Spinosaurus or whatever it was called in JPIII was a real dinosaur.

Yeah, I personally didnt have an issue with the CGI but I understand why many people did (The only dino in JW world that wasnt animatronic was the brachiosaurus that was lying on the field). That's why they used quite a few animatronics in Fallen Kingdom, and they've said that Dominion will use a lot more as they've found a way to combine animatronics and CGI without it looking stitched together.

A place I'll be near soon enough is renting out entire auditoriums of their theater to show various movies and it's currently on the list so I'm tempted.

Yeah the combination of CGI and animatronics was revolutionary at the time and I feel like they should have worked off that rather than favor CGI.

I liked the idea of the IR. It's realistic of modern society and capitalism and a kind of natural progression of the technology. Of course it's not factual, but neither is getting dino DNA from mosquitoes trapped in amber.

I think that the idea was fine for one film but then to do it again for the abomination that was JW:FK...

You're right on that. It shouldn't have been such a major plot point for FK.
