Opinions on Stupid Love?

Stupid Love is a fun catchy song! It reminds me of Just Dance in the way that it’s a fresh sound and just a song to dance and party to! I think people are comparing it too much to the more polished and emotionally deeper songs 😓.

Tbh the song has not aged well for me. I loved it when it first came out, probably because it was the first new Gaga dance music we've had in a while. But it sounds very out of place on Chromatica and I normally skip it. No clue why this was chosen as the lead single. Maybe to appeal to the younger market?

I'd love to hear her perform this on piano though.

I knew what you meant, but I was going off by what other fans have said. The leaked version sounds empty in some parts, but the final version is much more energetic

OH! Ok :ladyhaha:

Yes agreed :vegas:

I still love it! And have since first listen. It’s super positive, fun and well produced. The video for me was the perfect intro to the album - campy and not taking itself too seriously, with some lewks and choreo. I’m a fan of the remixes as well.

Also I think it might be some of my favorite vocals from Gaga ever. :huntyga:

YES! 100% agree! This is one of my favorite remixes, it's got a long intro but it's WAY WORTH the wait!:

I will listen! Thank you. :shadow:

I know the Vitaclub Warehouse mix gets a lot of hate but I think it’s amazing, and great driving music.

I loved the song to begin with, but now I think I love it even more. Everytime I hear that first few seconds, I’m instantly transported to when the song first leaked and I was SO HAPPY :messga:

it's a great pop track and well deserved to be chromatica's lead single. kinda dissapointed with the video tho, and i wish she promoted that song more.

It's cute but it needed better lyrics. It's too empty. I also don't think it fits on Chromatica, the transition from Alice to Stupid Love is so jarring. Alice -> Rain On Me makes much more sense.

And the video... I feel like it should be way more campy than it is. With some bad explosions, funny poses, very Power Rangers. With the way it is... it feels like she is taking it seriously :bear:

I actually love the transition. Alice is serious and intense, while Stupid Love lightens the mood a little and is kind of an “arriving in Chromatica” track for me. Then Rain On Me brings the intensity again. I wouldn’t change it.

I think it's a smart lead single in terms of being GP-friendly, and I'm not sure what else could have been the lead single other than ROM. However, it feels like an outlier compared to the rest of the album.

It's featured in my aerobics class setlist, and it's fun to work out to. I think it will be really fun to dance to at her concerts. I can't wait for a live performance of it!
