Guest Posted July 24, 2020 Share Posted July 24, 2020 I dont think Gaga was fully comitted to the sound change of the album, the change is mostly surface level. The album instrumentation is produced in a very clean tight regimented way that the wild and loose vibe of a rock or soul song is lost. And considering this is a singer song writing kind of album, we dont really get any interesting good lyrics. I actually dont like pop music that much, I love country rock songs. Lady Gaga was known as a dance pop artist and this album was like a 180 to some people, and some people just did not like the change. Plus, some people just hate country music .
