Anderson123 38,293
You have to keep in mind that Taylor built her fanbase with the sound of guitar and country so when 1989 dropped fans were surprised about the new sound, same with Reputation and Lover. Then again she's back to acoustic with Folklore. Those fans have grown up and it is a good thing that they're happy with the new sound. As for Gaga, she started as the Poker Face / Bad Romance over the top popstar, then she made Born This Way and ARTPOP. We've seen the reaction of some fans with Cheek To Cheek, Joanne and even A Star Is Born. Some loved them, some others didn't, any many many people became new fans. Now with Chromatica we see that the fans of TF/TFM/BTW really liked this sound, because it is closer to what she had done when they became fans. I love Gaga because she always does the opposite of one expects so I'd be here for any sound she decides to try. Joanne was great and I feel like she could've explored that genre way more but decided not to branch away from what she's known for so decided to mix it a bit with pop music. Gaga has the attitude to make a full rock or folk album so if she ever decides to do it, I'll be there to hear it.
Reginald 13,841
No her entire brand is about changing her style every album. She always does what she wants.
ShesAMess 1,560
I definitely hope she doesn’t feel that way cause atleast I’m here for dance electropop music only if that’s what she really wants to do and the same goes with whatever genre she choose to explore nothing good ever comes when you are pressured to do something that you have no passion for and I’m sure she already knows that Free my mind, ARTPOP
buzzkill 5,152
No lol just because some fans ask for a certain type of music doesnt mean she gonna deliver it. Who would’d though she was gonna came house-ish this time. she will always be free to do the type of music she want to do.
REALITY 76,333
I think Gaga is very cognizant of what her fans want, which is sad because we all know that we, collectively, can be a really bitchy fanbase, but I don't think she's "limited" by her fanbase. Gaga's one of the most versatile artist's today (at the very least, one of the most versatile "pop girls" today). I don't think she's limited at all. She's done jazz, country, rock, folk, electronic dance music, classical, etc. I think Gaga's at a point in her career where she'll [rightfully] do whatever the **** she wants. I think she should continue the trend of reinventing herself every era. It's one of the reasons I love Gaga so much: she's not afraid to change herself to the point of unrecognizability. What I think we should do as a fanbase is accept the fact that Gaga changes. This is not on Gaga at all. This is 100% on us. Some of us ( ) aren't able to process and accept the fact that Gaga can go from electronic dance music to jazz music like *that* without crying about missing the "old Gaga" and "her old music." Some of y'all need to accept that or move on. Y'all chose to stan an artist who's a chameleon in the music industry. It's something that she's praised and known for. Just let her do her thing and if you love it, you love it, and if you don't, move on and find someone else. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎
Guest
Its because Taylor is already a country singer? Ivy 12,516
Who's to say Taylor wouldn't rather have done something different. Maybe she's catering to her fanbase as well. I don't think it's a unique situation to be limited by what your fans expect or want the meow in zombieboy

Get a grip But where's the connection? Also..."I'm not dragging Gaga"...okay, sis. You said Joanne was a terrible album and that it's all full of skips. If that's not a drag, IDK what is You brought Gaga's writing into it when the OP did not mention that whatsoever. The OP's argument is that people like Taylor can change and are praised, while when Gaga changes, people complain and bitch about it. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎

I have "negative" opinions on Gaga too. I just don't like it when people unnecessarily drag her. As for Taylor, I would've agreed with you in the past, but honestly, I don't really mind it as much anymore. Other female pop stars and a lot of male pop stars only sing about their exes and about love, yet none of them get sh*t about it. If she wants to talk about exes and about love for all her albums, that's fine. It obviously works for her. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎
Enzo 37,977
First Gaga would never release something like folklore thanks God And second, if she was she wouldn't have released Joanne, ASIB, Cheek To Cheek etc 툭 까보면 어김없이 소리질러와

I never used the word “terrible” And I stand to what I said.if my opinion is that Joanne has no replay value how’s that dragging Gaga? And the reason why people prefer ballads from Taylor more than Gaga is because once again Taylor’s writing is more complex and coherent than Gaga’s and there’s nothing wrong with that because Gaga is better at writing repetitive pop music Hottie Detector

What is that supposed to mean? So was it an amazing album? Was it a great album? Was it a spectacular album? No, you meant it was a bad album. Stop trying to win with technicalities when we know what you meant You literally said in this same quote that "it has no replay value." You think it's a terrible album. That's *your opinion,* is it not? I don't think Taylor's writing is bad at all, but I just don't understand how you could say that Gaga's better only at writing repetitive pop music Go listen to Chromatica and Born This Way. Those two albums alone have some of the best lyrics I've ever heard. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎
