okay so i have listened to it twice now. my general thoughts:

- wow! what a cohesive and enjoyable record, a great direction for her

- jack antonoff is such a great producer. loved him on nfr! and other albums he’s done but this is just amazing

- favourites are; cardigan, tlgad, exile, seven, illicit affairs, betty, peace

- how will she work this into her lover fest tour?

This is a collection of songs written without thinking how they could be done live, it sounds like shes telling stories on each song which I've always liked in her lyrics.

I know its got production on it, but it all sounds very organic and natural...real instruments, less processed vocals. Just quality songs.

In this truly shitty year Gaga has delivered a fantastic album to dance to, Taylor has delivered this amazing bunch of songs just to chill out to

Seven is nowhere as good as Venice Bitch and this album is NOT a representation of classic folk albums / work.

Everyone gives Taylor Swift too much credit all of the time. She's plain mediocre.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

I initially thought this album was too slow and I wouldn’t listen to it that much. But I have been listening to it everyday when I go to bed and I find myself listening to the whole thing and wanting to listen to it again. I love it now. It’s such a mood and the perfect way to unwind before going to sleep, it’s so comforting and relaxing.

It's a very cohesive album, very calm and enjoyable album to listen.

Chromatica is not safe. People have been praising this album everywhere.

You are entitled to your own opinion, but for me the album came in a perfect time, it puts me in a relaxed state and makes me feel happy and whimsical. So yes I’m gonna give her credit for making a fantastic magical album that a lot of us need right now.

I guess she’s not your cup of tea but she’s not mediocre.

I felt the same, and I never been much a Taylor Swift fan but the more I listen to it the more I want to hear it. Maybe because of all the chaos that’s been happening it was a perfect timing to have something stripped down and peaceful something we need in these trying times. It’s a really well made album.

I mean personally Chromatica is very much my kind of music and I love that album (just not the era) but I can really appreciate Taylor for putting this out when everyone is leaning towards the disco sound.

Cant stop playing it....feared Taylor had gone to the dark side with that awful Reputation album, but like Lover this is rather excellent

Favourite tracks- Mad Woman, Epiphany, Exile, Betty, American Dynasty
