She's more an elevation (or combination) or artists like Avril Lavigne and Lana Del Rey. I'd say that Ariana / Dua are probably *the* 'new' pop stars on the scene, even though they've been around for awhile already. I mean, Demi / Miley / Selena ect are successful, but they haven't ever had a 'reigning' moment. Ariana has already had that moment, and Dua is on the way there. So, yeah...
