They forgot to mention that death during recessions have shown to decline. This comes from factors such as decline in heart disease and motor vehicle accidents. They pull every number they can out of their ass in order to prove their point. It doesn't really matter if you have cancer or not if you can't even get treatment for it because all the resources are taken up by COVID patients. As someone who has family members in Italy let me tell you that the lockdown was the most efficient and reasonable thing to do that literally saved millions of lifes. Being against lockdowns because of postponed medical treatements is like letting a house burn to the ground because the water from the firefighters might ruin your furniture.
