X Factor auditionee finally breaks silence on her viral 2011 audition

Yes but everything was P!nk centered. The look, the energy she gave off, the hair, the make-up... it was all P!nk. Before she went on stage, if people saw her they would think she was a P!nk tribute act. If she truly wanted to break away from that, she should have changed how she presented herself.

Its very easy for X Factor to push this P!nk narrative on someone who already does P!nk for a tribute act, who dresses like P!nk, who has the same energy as P!nk. The song is only part of it, everything else comes into play too. And so X Factor's plan was almost fully realised before they even tried to convince her to sing a P!nk song.

The reason she showed up "looking and acting like P!nk" was because the producers had convinced her that it was her best shot at making a good impression. She didn't want to, but was told that it was necessary to get into the competition. So she went along with it to please the judges/producers. For all we know she would've looked completely different at the audition if she hadn't been pushed into the P!nk narrative.

She’s crazy. She says on her video that she DIDN’T walk back on the stage and the judges did NOT say ”no baby no” and ”stay on the stage”. You can clearly see that they are all in the same frame, quite hard and unnecessary to fake for the views.

Minus the "crazy" part... this. I'm pretty sure it went almost like she said BUT:

- In the video she never mentioned the fact that she presented herself as a Pink tribute. Her narrative make it seems like the whole pink idea was forced on her on every level by the producers, like she wasn't affiliate with pink at all.

- She repeatedly mentions that they fabricated footage like the one of her throwing the mic away, Nicole/Tulisa saying "stay on the stage" as she and her father came back to the stage or her throwing the light structure away which all has clearly happened as you can see them in the audition. There's no way the could have "fabricated" those images

Imagine believing that her audition wasn't heavily edited, by adding lines, crowd cheers, etc

This is absolutely DISGUSTING!!

We need to spread this!

And download it in case it gets removed from YouTube.

And continue to spread it if it does.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Who's telling the truth?

Posting a video after so many years or even words from other auditionees prove nothing.

I can't and shouldn't take side on this thing.

X Factor and Simon Cowell are absolute trash. It's unacceptable what they've done to this poor girl. Always been sceptical since Little Mix came out against Simon.

but she got told to sing a pink song :emma: doesn't have anything to do with how she looked

Why do you think they told her to do a Pink song? :rip: It was a clear storyline path that every reality producer would go for.

Except there’s no one in this thread who thinks her audition wasn’t heavily edited.

I went to an xfactor taping once

it was like 5 hours. They filmed us doing diff versions of applauds and booing before they started bringing people on and in between people was like a 10 -20 minute break

I remember seeing this video before and this reminded me of so much of the overlap with her account. It's pretty shocking that his mum was told how to act when he was having a meltdown after all that energy drink - there seems to be a pattern of not showing true concern for contestants but just tools to make good tv. And does anyone find it disturbing that he was encouraged to sing I'm Sexy and I Know It when he was just 12 years old?

10-20 minute breaks between acts would drive me stir crazy. I've heard similar stories from other audience members too. Even saying that they weren't allowed to use the bathroom more than twice. It sounds like a lot of sitting around for absolutely nothing. They must have seen a lot of questionable stuff that never got broadcast.

Oriane

We had something similar with a former contestant from a French reality show who revealed a lot of things that were happening. There was a lot of manipulation but also almost inhumane treatment. The contestants were all together in a house for weeks, which was the principle of the show, but for example the producers never let them know what time it was, which made it hard for eating/sleeping routine and just mental health in general, and that's just one example.

Rolodex of Hate

One thing I commented on the YouTube video was this:

This is just awful - I understand that TV want to get 'shocking' moments to try and stay entertaining, but this is inhumane and disgusting. The one thing I don't fully understand is when you say that you didn't return to the stage hand in hand with your father, yet this does definitely happen in the clip that aired?

Did anyone else think this? Absolutely appalled by her treatment, but I was a bit confused when she said she didn't return hand in hand with her dad, but this definitely does happen in the aired clip

numb the flame

While I agree with most of what she said, she did walk back on stage with her father at some point and she was a P!NK tribute beforehand however she stated she wanted to get rid of the P!NK aspect and be Zoe
