Doot 2
8 minutes ago, LG6IsHere said: she also tried to tell the audience what was going on but they turned her mic off This is fairly evident in the original video because as soon as she says they told her to sing Pink, there are just long staring moments when it's obvious that something was said and edited out. The people hosting these reality shows are in my opinion a bit complicit with knowing this stuff is done and doing it anyway. Not very born this way of you, Nicole Scherzinger. Goldfish 579
It reminds me of Ariel Burdett who auditioned in 2008 and I could tell as kid watching it it was edited out of context and she was absolutely ripped to shreds by the media she killed herself last year after suffering with mental health problems ever since it was absolutely heart breaking. she did a radio interview about her experience on her MySpace but I can’t seem to access it on my phone. Can anyone else? https://myspace.com/arielvox/music/songs I invented post-its

StrawberryBlond 14,965
Looks like everything I predicted had happened at the time did. I said right from the beginning that when she said "you told me," she meant "the producers told me." This is why so many contestants break down when they're told no - the producers up until that point have told them that they're brilliant, so they can't understand why the judges don't like them. And that's when their reactions make good tv. Hearing her story was really shocking, it was even more extreme than I expected. I knew they auditioned for producers but didn't know they actually have 2 auditions. I had no idea contestants were told to arrive that early or that they weren't allowed to leave the room or that they had 1 hour interviews. By the time she sang, she'd been hanging around for hours, hadn't been eating or drinking, had endured a 1 hour interview and had nerves on top of all that. Naturally, anyone would break down after being told no and realised they'd been manipulated. The fact her mic turned off when she ranted and raved and this part was edited out was so outrageous, though not surprising. I'm really interested to hear of the aftermath in part 2. After all this, even if XF comes back properly, I don't know if I'll watch it now. It's just too tainted. I wasn't even missing it since it stopped anyway. 18 minutes ago, Lucas said: I'm lazy to watch the whole video and it's 1 am here... if anyone can sum up what he said it would be the nicest thing She auditioned online and had to send in 5 songs of her choosing to producers, none of which were Pink songs. But because she's stated in her audition blurb that she was a Pink tribute act, the producers emailed her back to say she should include a Pink song. She reluctantly chose So What as her #1 choice. She was then told to arrive at the arena at 6am, which turned out, was way too early as the producers didn't arrive until much later. All the auditionees had to sit in a room they weren't allowed to leave and weren't given anything to eat or drink. They all had to give an audition to the production team, if they were good enough, they got to perform in front of a Sony executive and if they were good enough, they'd have to go see the judges. When she reached this stage, she had to go through a 1 hour interview where the interviewer was obsessed with asking her about Pink, to the point where she felt her personality didn't matter. She even brought up how she'd been bullied at school and it was somehow worked around to asking if Pink got bullied at school. By the end, she was actually tearful and this part was edited in to her audition footage to make her "look like an emotional fool." She and her family were then ushered outside and told to wait in the audience queue, which now informs us that all those people you see queuing outside to audition aren't actually contestants, they're people going in to watch the auditions and random contestants are inserted every so often to show footage of them apparently queuing outside. Caroline Flack was really nice to her backstage and asked her a few times if she was ok and when she responds that she's fine but something feels a bit off, she tells her that she can leave and there's other ways to make it in the industry if this doesn't feel right (she now thinks this was her way of giving her a message that she understood that she was already having misgivings). Dermot introduces himself to everyone backstage, focusing more on family and friends but was actually quite hostile to the contestants. He looked her up and down and said: "Oh...I get it now." She wonders looking back if this was his way of confirming that he was in on the whole Pink contestant conspiracy. The showrunner tells her before she goes on that she must use every part of the stage she can when performing and says if the judges say no that she must cry, get on her knees and beg them, whatever possible. When she walked onstage, she says the way the 4 judges looked at her was so awful, they seemed like 4 executioners. She said they asked her some questions, some of which were cut from broadcast, saying that she seemed overconfident (even though she said she felt so worried and nervous at that moment) and that she looked too much like Pink. She said the audience was really enjoying her performance but this was edited to look like the audience was somewhat silent. The monitors on the stage were also switched off when she sang so she couldn't hear properly and had to sing while under not the best conditions. Then when she was done and Tulisa gave her comments, the audience was actually silent the whole time but this sound was replaced with sounds of the audience appearing to cheer and applaud her comments in the broadcast footage. When they gave 4 no's and Zoe responded with "but you told me to sing a Pink song," Tulisa acts like she's completely unaware of the blatant conspiracy in place and says "we didn't tell you to sing a Pink song" to which Zoe replied "not you, love, the producers." These words were edited out. She then proceeded to rant and rave to the audience that she's been tried and manipulated all day and the producers told her what to do but that's when her mic "conveniently" got remotely switched off. She then went into full meltdown and it's made to look like she threw the mic through the air when actually she threw it on the ground, her dad doesn't immediately come on stage, he tells he the judges that they've set her up and they're not going to get away with this (which was also edited out) and when Tulisa said "stay on the stage" and Nicole said "no baby no," Zoe was already off the stage by this point. She doesn't actually pull that metal apparatus down, she just shook it. She actually fell down the stairs and the cameraman had the camera right up in her face and the showrunner told him to keep filming. Zoe kept repeating "get the camera out my face, I'm going to kill myself." When she was eventually dragged out by her friends and family, she ran right out the building and producers followed her and tried to get her to come back. The head of the team simply said "I don't need any more footage of this woman" and they let her go. She ran over the road and nearly got hit by a car. Her family bundled her into their family car, her dad said "well, that went well" and then they drove home in silence. She says there's more to come in part 2. Red Velvet 10,988
I really wish that all talent shows would just be fair and won't be a reality show on disguise in the future. I'm like some kind of supernova
spicemuncher 1,718
I do think there’s truth in what she’s saying but she also failed to mention that her entire family does tribute acts and she herself said on stage that she’s a P!nk tribute act- no one can force you to speak words you don’t want to say. Yes, a lot of it is manipulated but for producers to come up with a P!nk storyline from thin air for a random singer without her mentioning the tribute act seems also far fetched. I'm guessing they knew about the tribute act after she applied (background checks are probably done on everyone), and they decided to push the P!nk thing where they shouldn't have, considering her original choice of 5 songs didn't even include P!nk until they forced it. Yes, she was a tribute act but her audition wasn't meant to be one. A lot of bullying and manipulation went on that day that should never have been allowed to happen. Pennywise 36,079
These shows are some of the worst scripted, manipulative TV ever. I'm not surprised at all. So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.
Hurem 17,800
I feel really bad for her. Reality TV can be extremely inhumane with the heavy editing and manipulating people, but certain parts of the video she posted confused me a bit. Watching her "audition" video, she's literally talking about being the Pink tribute act, which I guess she had mentioned to the producers prior to this "audition", hence why the chose to go with that storyline. In the recent video, she never mentions that she actually was the doing the Pink tribute act. The part where she claims they edited the video of her throwing away the mic in different direction... come on, sis. She also definitely didn't only shake that thingy holding the lights, as you can clearly the guy stopping it from falling in the video. As for the "stay on the stage" and "no, baby, no" comments, they might've reshot them after, but I don't think that was the case. She probably doesn't remember it clearly since she was literally breaking down at the moment. All that being said, X Factor really did her dirty. I hope she has recovered since then.
