It should've been an EP or a condensed album with celebration+hard candy

That's an interesting idea. :oprah:

Masterpiece is a true masterpiece.  One of my favorite songs by any artist.

I live outside the space time continuum.

Unpopular opinion here, but I really enjoyed MDNA.

sorry not sorry GIF

And to answer your question, out of these 2, I'd say Masterpiece. But my actual favorites are Gang Bang, I'm Addicted and Love Spent.

My Top 5 are Madame X, Rebel Heart, Confessions, Ray of Light, and MDNA or True Blue? But I also love Music and American Life.

I can't say I hate Madonna's early albums, such as Like A Virgin, Like A Prayer, etc. - they have bops, but I don't feel like I want to listen to them 24/7.

Her early albums are my faves.  Maybe because I was following her from her start and she was new and I was overwhelmed by the greatness of those songs.

I like them but... sometimes this sound is just not mine. I have fun every time I listen to Jimmy Jimmy, Over and Over, yes, but overall...

However, La Isla Bonita is my favorite Madonna's song.

I feel like it's a generational thing. I mainly grew up in the 90s/00s, and my favorite Madonna albums are probably Music, American Life and Confessions. I also see a lot of younger fans here enjoying the later records like Rebel Heart, that to me is Madonna's absolute worst album.

Yes, exactly. And how interesting it is, Madonna can unite three or four generations.

Sometimes I think this album has too much Timbaland's production. My favorites, anyway, are Give It 2 Me, Heartbeat, She's Not Me, Devil Wouldn't Recognize You, and Voices.

There are some gems in the rubble for sure :gaycat:

There's literally no one like her  I was also revisiting her "Sex book" era yesterday (:hor:), and found it so incredible that she could have pulled something like this off at the height of her career and still be able to bounce back. The definition of risk taking. So so brave.

Exactly.  I think the music that we listened to in our HS years will always hold a special place in our hearts.  On VH1 Peter Noone hosted a show called "My Generation" with that concept in mind.

I was in HS before Madonna's time, so the music special to me is Doo-wop, early rock and roll, and early soul.

I agree with what you say so much, but I never use the word "worst" when it comes to Madonna.    I prefer "least favorite".

Oh god I really don’t know. These are one of the only redeemable songs on MDNA. I love them both for different reasons.
GGW is an absolute fat burning dance anthem, yet Masterpiece is so peaceful and serene. I feel like I will vote Masterpiece because the lyrics are more meaning for and powerful.

I only heard Masterpiece so that one.

Legit GGW is post in the OP, it takes 3 mins to listen to it...:reductive:

Mona Lisa means art.

When she explains the metaphor later on in the lyrics, it makes sense, but those first two lines are on par with "Do you ever feel like a plastic bag?" :laughga:
