BLACKOUT: Blackout is Britney’s fifth studio album which was released on October 25, 2007. A fan favourite, it is considered to be her finest work to date. It has appeared on many end-of-the-year and decade lists, including reader polls by Billboard and Rolling Stone; The Times named it as the fifth best pop album of the decade. Rolling Stone described it as one of the most influential albums in modern pop. In 2012, the album was added to the library and archives of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Three singles were released from “Blackout”. Its lead single “Gimme More” spawned the famous line, “It’s Britney, bitch!” X: X is Kylie Minogue’s tenth studio album, released on 21 November, 2007 via Parlophone. Heralded as her comeback album following a battle with cancer, it received mostly positive reviews from critics and charted well, peaking inside the top 20 in countries including Austria, Germany, Ireland, Taiwan and France. The title of the album, X, is a reference to it being her tenth studio album, with X being the Roman numeral for the number 10. It was later stated in an interview on her official website that the original title of the album was “Magnetic Electric”—also the title of a bonus track—but because fans on forums had been referring to the project as “Album X”, X seemed to Kylie the obvious name for the album. BIONIC: Bionic is the sixth studio album by Christina Aguilera, first released on June 4, 2010 via RCA Records. Aguilera found herself inspired by her taste for electronic music, which helped influence the album and its electropop, electro-R&B and futurepop sound. A total of two official singles were released from the album: “Not Myself Tonight”, which was released as the lead single, and “You Lost Me”, which was released as the second single, with “Woohoo” and “I Hate Boys” serving as promotional singles.
