You all realize that when the era restarts, we are all going to crash this site going crazy about the promo, = max hype = max streams = next single  #1 :trollga: I too am frustrated but we underestimate Gaga and the Haus far too often

Normally I'd agree, but I think it's a valid question. We have virtually no promo for an album that dropped only a little over a month ago.

I agree that the question itself is valid but it freaks me out on how dramatic this sounds... like gurl, are you living in a bubble or what? For someone like Gaga being silent instead of carrying on with promoting her album is such a powerful statement. With her decision on not promoting her album but rather amplifying Black voices especially right now where BLM is losing its momentum she is channelling all the energy towards the real problems and keeping the discussion alive.

I just hope this fanbase were just a tad more patient. The same amount of whining was going on when the album got delayed. It’s true that other artists are doing the most promoting but it’s useless to compare Gaga to them. If she doesn’t feel like promoting right now, everyone should just let her. It’s stupid to think she said bye to Chromatica and doesn’t give a single f. We always whine and cry like babies and then she always surprises us.

As I said, I am conflicted. I think it’s legitimate and fair for the fan base, who paid a lot of money and streamed a lot of music to support this era, to question why we haven’t seen or heard from her in weeks. I also think it’s understandable and probably correct to draw the conclusion that with more promo the album would still be Top 10, and ROM would still be Top 10. I don’t have a problem with users expressing that opinion

Spoiler

and certainly don’t think they should be banned for it

Now, what would have been, I think, a more responsible way to do this promo stop-and-start, would have been to telegraph it; post something on insta like “Chromatica HQ Systems Failure... Rebooting Soon” or a cryptic post on Twitter here and there. Quite frankly, I think just stopping the whole thing cold turkey invited questions and criticism from the fan base, most of it legitimate.

I’d like to think I’m correct and that this is all part of a cohesive plan to repeak the hype, but I certainly understand members with other viewpoints; and it is frustrating to see Rain on Me and Chromatica dropping on the charts (though they’re by no means flopping, as far as I’m concerned) when even a little acknowledgement from her that she’s still committed to promoting this era might be able to prevent- or at least lessen- that phenomenon.

I think this strategy(?) will have a payoff in the end, but would be even better if there was promo-lite along the way to at least keep things stable or close to it.

My ideal promo schedule (without dates) from here on out would be include the following :

Chromatica Listening Party

ROM bts video

VMA performance/new single and video debut during broadcast

Talk show circuit

Did some of you guys not learn anything after the while debacle surrounding the One World Together At Home Event? There was rampant complaining about no promo leading up to and following that project only for the era to restart in full force shortly afterwards.

We've already gotten an entire album, 2 music videos/ a lyric video, and creative promotion. Be patient.

The fact that people want her to stop giving a voice to actual change that this world needs, simply because they want promo...

...is exactly why change never actually happens.

BLM isn't something we talk about for a week or two and then stop because "she did her part" and you want a damn Rain On Me performance.

You are part of the problem.

@Dulo Peep did I get that right? Also why do I feel as though it should be “espero que los aficionados tuviesen más paciéncia”/ I wish the fans would have more patience”:messga: edit: nvm it’s not past subjunctive :cryga: edit 2: ****ing mess I’m bad at Spanish after all I figured it out edit 3: I was right the first time SpanishDict confirms
