Have the music speak for itself instead of using these desperate looking techniques. We see the music speaking for itself because Rain On Me (and Shallow) are way older and outstreaming her lead single. That shows that the GP, not just stans, are actually interested and listening and that is what will serve longevity (which is what's actually important now a days). And before anyone says anything yes I know we would love it if gaga pulled these tactics, but hone the delusion, poor thing
Jonathan2244 1,858
On a brighter note Katy opened with more with Smile than One of the boys, first week USA. On the steep decline note, Chromatica sold more pure in The UK 38k than Smile did in America 35k ^_^ and more with SPS in the UK with 53k compared to Smiles 50k USA ^_^

And how far is A Star is Born from going 2x platinum there too? Around 10 years ago albums could go platinum fairly easily in the UK (300,000) but sales are so low here now it’s actually really difficult to go platinum now Chromatica is on roughly 112k so it has quite a bit to go. Biagio2103 6,140
Well, artists in decay are unable to pull a #1 album Glad to see Gaga, P!nk and Taylor can still debut #1 with great sales despite tough competition sometimes I'm only good at being bad
Guest Adarsh
The fact that despite having a newer and more commercially successful album, Taylor has less monthly listeners than Gaga proves that Taylor’s success is attributed to her fanbase streaming and buying the album over and over again. To me it's her, Beyonce, and Gaga at the top. My best friend is a huge Swiftie and I love listening to her music especially Reputation (I went to Rep tour). Im just simply stating the facts as to why her album is clinging onto #1 on the Hot #100 for so long. I don't know another artist that is as obsessed with chart positions, acclaim and success. That's not a bad thing, of course everyone wants to be the best at what they do. She's just making it so obvious with these tactics to stay on top and some would say its embarrassing because she doesn't have to do that. (like selling 16 different covers, really?). Still a legend tho. Does she pull a gun into their head and force them to buy it? NO, so stop with these 16-20 or 120371928739871287 different covers nonsense because there is DEMAND. CataleyaDeters 91
hy always this taylor fighting ... I don´t listen so much from taylor cause ... she is kinda the whitest musican ever (which is fine) and also not a genuine sucess story more like her father bought stocks from their record label and stuff ... Which again is fine but honestly I am not that impressed ...Nothing against her success but I am not gona buy or listen songs of her on repeat .....Now can we move on ? C1trus 4,341
Gaga gaining 1m+ likes consecutively on IG is impressive Also, I'm obsessed with this post. Gaga sold merch bundles, and at one point sold her album for 99 cents as part of a deal with Amazon. & we love her dearly.
