Quite surprised its manage to climb on Pop, I truly thought it was going to fall. Wow. Hopefully it'll climb a little higher.

And then climb back into the top 25. Its longevity is pretty great for the song getting zero promo. I think 20-22 weeks on the overall Bb100 chart is on lock.

The delusions spreading from the Chromatica era to past ones is getting really hard to swallow. First, claims that not making ARUTW an official single was smart because US Pop Radio never warmed up to Shallow; now, pretending that releasing Judas has no impact on her legacy.

ARUTW, a non-single from an OST, is Gaga’s 2nd-most streamed song, reached #41 in the US from album-week sales, and was nominated for SOTY. Its daily recurrent streams are more than 300% higher than Chromatica’s non-singles. Who cares what US Radio did with it if released? Shallow remained unbothered WW and would’ve held a legacy even if it had kept its original #5 peak. Interscope literally did *nothing* to capitalize on the post-Oscar buzz (just as they did post-SB). Gaga re-peaked after an 8-year battle with the GP and climbed to the top of the Charts, and instead of doing minimal effort that would’ve gotten her another Top 10 legacy hit, and AOTY / SOTY shot, they sat.

The week after Shallow hit #1, a press release announcing that ARUTW was being sent to Radio as the 2nd single to promote the ASIB (Reborn) OST re-release (no dialogue, +Clover, +INLA (duet edit), +Shallow (live), +BTS videos) would’ve generated enough buzz to get ARUTW to chart on its own. At worst, it never peaks higher, but gets more attention; at worst, enough Radio play pushes streams and sales to get it higher.

The US Pop Radio peaks above are proof enough that Judas was the worst decision of her career. Nothing less than #3 until that point; and, it still debuted at #10 because of her hype alone, just as Hair and EOG would debut at #12/#3 as promo singles. EOG would’ve been PF/BR level as the official 2nd single. The MV would’ve been irrelevant; it matters in hindsight since the song needed something to regain the momentum it lost as a promo to reach #1, but had that not happened, it would’ve debuted there.
