SFA will have the ASIB style crossover effect. Its alright teasing it in an ad, but they need to put it out as an official single with a full rollout. Its the best song shes had since ARUTW or Gypsy.

Give it a watch please. Don’t you want to be able to brag that Gaga’s worst flop still has two videos with 200 million views in total? :triggered:

Gaga's worst flop isn't G.U.Y.

Then what is it?

So far, 911:heat:

And no, G.U.Y. wasn’t a real single either, as much as Gaga wanted it be

It also had its own single cover and set of remixes. Why would anyone not consider G.U.Y. a single?:laughga:

@KEVIN STEVE Curious to know your reasoning here :oprah:

If they would have aimed at a high peak on the Hot 100, the best they could have done was to send 911 to radios, let it build up some airplay, 10-15 million,  then drop the music video with some TV promo during the same week. It would have outpeaked GUY for sure.

That being said, it doesn’t look like they aimed at a high peak. And why would they, anyway? Gaga has countless Hot 100 entries, 17 top 10s. A 60-70s peaking 3rd single which falls off the chart in its 2nd week won’t do anything for her career and they know that.

Their main focus should be pushing the album in the upcoming months for the Grammys campaign, thus helping it past 1x platinum in the US. And I feel like that’s what they want to do. The album is at around 700K+ units right now and they probably want to certify it around December-January, just in time for the Academy votes.

Literally every radio station from Europe and more has said that they hadn't recieved GUY when fans asked them to play it, and that was also the case in France where there's always more singles. I don't know exactly where it says the song was sent to radio, I know there was a rumor that it would be sent on April 8 but it wasn't. Maybe it was sent in the US, but I wouldn't bet on that. They only played the song during her radio interviews, it's like she went there just to secure an illegal play:sweat: (like she actually did on November 11, on camera)

911 is a "single" just as much as GUY.

Also @HybridAT Beautiful, Dirty, Rich has a single cover as well, and yet it was never a single. Same for all of her promo singles. John Wayne and 911 were the only Gaga songs that didn't recieve a single cover despite receiving a special treatment

Since Gaga is an American artist, we consider songs sent to the American radios as proper singles and GUY was sent to them. End of conversation.

Well that's your consideration and your assumptions, but keep your “end of conversation” to yourself:sweat:

Not sure about different European stations but it was playlisted by BBC Radio 1 in the UK. They don't playlist songs unless they are sent to them. It was also sent to Rhythmic radio in the US.

BDR is a different case though because it was clear from day 1 that it was a promo single. It was never sent to any radio station, be it US or outside.

Anyway, the definition of single has become more loose and flexible over time. We'll see if it's sent to any radios outside of Italy :vegas:

Insiders are teasing gagaxtony bennett coming out in December... wouldn't that mean Chromatica's campaign is close to being finished? :selena: Hope they at least whip out 1 or 2 MV's before that...

BDR was played on the radio when I was in Germany, but yeah, I don't consider it to be a single since it apperently wasn’t sent anywhere else.

After all, it's all a matter of consideration unless a song is sent to radios WW, but if we consider 911 or GUY to be singles, or just GUY to be a single, TIHTY still did worse:ladyhaha:, and some non-singles still did better lol
