Why would anybody think it would be out of the top 100 in its second week? She's Katy Perry, not some independent artist under a no-name label. It's sad how much she has declined over the years but c'mon now, she's one of the biggest artists to come out of the 2000's, the first artist to have 3 diamond singles in the US (that's like, huge) and what not

I'm actually genuinely shocked by the out of top 50 drop tbh. At least she has her daughter and a new family life now to keep her happy. She needs to go on a hiatus of sorts, think and evaluate what she wants to put out as an artist and how it can resonate with people. And her label needs to support her more I guess in terms of a streaming push. Her Spotify and AM stats and playlisting are abysmal too afaik (someone correct me if I'm wrong here)

Sorry if my reply came across as rude, and this is not directed at you, but the general hatred for her among pop stans in 2020 is tiring

Great hold for ROM! I expected the song to be out of top 40 this week since the VMA boost ended last week! Good hold for Chromatica too. This proves the fact that with more promotion the album can have longevity in top 40 at least.

I doubt it will unless it gets a big promo spot and soon. However I think the song is doing very well, and might reach 500M before year-end. Soon we will have a lot of gaga songs above 500M (shallow, arutw, mr, pf, br and rom)

I think the simultaneous promo effect of SFA on TV and 911 single cycle can benefit ROM and in turn the album as a whole by bringing more attention to it. And yeah, that's really cool that she'll have multiple 500M+ songs soon. Her turnaround streaming wise in less than 2 years is insane.

Some artists take decades to achieve the same effect that ASIB single-handedly had on her career

I'm personally not expecting anything of the commercial tbh but maybe it's just because I'm not yet familiar with commercial effects in songs chartwise. 911 is very up in the air for me too, it might get slight boost with the MV + playlisting and then tumble... it might be a slow and steady rise to the top (one can dream)... we'll see, but yeah if the best case scenario happens with these two songs then I definitely can see ROM going back to 2M+

I never realized how much Cardi B tweets about her stats  she really is just like Nicki isn’t she. Gaga hardly cares enough to tweet about her #1s but you go to Cardi’s page and she’s taking about her chart positions in Greece

Depends on how aggressive the push is (in terms of demographic reach and $$$ spent) and how it is received. Applause being featured in a Kia commercial back in 2013 and DWUW in the Beats ad gave some pretty good returns. But we're in a different time and era now.

I do have somewhat high hopes for an effective single cycle for 911 though.

Anyway, even if it doesn't increase drastically, the streams have sort of stabilized for ROM and the album so we don't have much to complain about. They're both doing well considering everything so far.

It seems to be a thing with mainstream rappers. Most of what they do in their rap is bragging so it makes sense. I wish the more political rap got more attention.

Girl... Gaga is an artist through and through. She's done proving people her worth. There was briefly a time she was focused on the #1s and the commercial reception but she never was as charts obsessed and she's clearly over it now. Now she just lets her team handle all those aspects of her career while she focuses on her artistry, her own health and her personal relationships.

As she goes further into her career cementing herself as a one-of-a-kind legend, she'll continue to focus on her art. Music not the bling teas (but her talent will always bring her the bling)
