Local channels where?

She did interviews for the UK, France, Italy, Poland, Argentina, Belgium, Hungary, Greece, Bulgaria, Germany, Japan, Australia, and the US. You would think that someone who cares so much about "promo" would know that.

And are we assuming Taylor isn’t going to promote this album at all?

No, I was responding to the person who called Taylor's rollout exciting compared to Gaga's, even though she did nothing other than release the album and one video for it.

Taylor released a full-length studio album last year with like 4 music videos and did a million performances. She just dropped another studio album with one music video and many more lyric videos than Chromatica.

You really can't compare their outputs at this point.

Gaga released an album and an entire movie 2 years ago and spent the last year winning awards for it. She just released another album with two music videos. Taylor's lyric videos are just videos of nature on loop (and they're gorgeous, but that's not the point).

You really need to stop trying to put Gaga down, it's embarrassing. She could release 50 videos and you would still trash her because she didn't released 51 and another girl did.

Whew Taylor has her foot on the neck of @Majora

Haters make legends just as much as fans, thank you for your service queen!

OT: Slay Taylor, slay Gaga, love seeing two acts in their 30s still owning the charts in 2020

Interviews, you mean the interview she did for stupid love which also so happened to ask about chromatica the album.

i admit part of the rollout was great, especially since her lead single leaked a month ahead of time, and she still went with that as the lead. The rain on me weather channel promo was good too, but Taylor just did a surprise drop and we are assuming she’s not going to promote. Let’s not ignore Katy’s promo, Dua’s promo. And say Gaga has done the same or more.

We all know she took a ghost pill for a great cause and that is totally needed and great imo, but it’s almost August, and everyone else is releasing and promoting again. Idk why she isn’t. Other than my theory that she wants chromatica to disappear to relaunch in the fall/Spring with an EP.

I agree that they haven't done something more but they exist at least with one way or another...

6 months now we are like "Do you want Stupid Love? Take it...Do you want the cover? Take it... Do you want Chromatica? Take it... and leave me alone!" No words, no feelings... Just announcements!

Maam this is just pop music not your marriage :bear:

Yeah, Taylor's sales.

Taylor was the biggest artist in 2019 according to IFPI ratings.
Claims that she is only local are kind of BS. Some pages back it was shown that folklores streams outside of the US were equal to Chromaticas, Taylor is just so much bigger in the US. If Taylor is irrelevant in the outside world, then so is Gaga.

But Tay's US-WW ratio is way more US heavy than Gaga's. I guess that's why she's called local.

Folklore has moved over 500,000 album units in the US in its first three days making it the biggest selling album this year and the biggest selling album since Lover, which was the biggest selling week since reputation.

This is huge, the album should probably move another 100,000 units just from streaming, so the album will have at least 600,000 units plus sales from the last 4 days. I predict it will eclipse 700,000 sales, but we will see.

Knew you'd make fun of me
