I'll have to see the film first. 

But if I'm being honest, I haven't really cared for a Bey project in years, which I feel is targeted to African Americans. The lyrics/artistic output hasn't been relatable to the international audience. The only way for her to bridge that gap is by creating beautiful aesthetics. 

Whether the blackface is offensive or not isn't for me to say. But I do take issue with how she profits from her activism for the African American identity. It works in the USA, I guess, where everything is tied to capitalism. But seriously, Disney?
