Sister 9,907 Posted June 21, 2013 Share Posted June 21, 2013 (edited) Hope you get the chance to catch her show, Sis. I bet she puts on a good one and rocks hard. That song really showcases her voice and she seems very honest and raw - at least she comes off that way in her music; I respect that.  It's not just about how she feels "pretty" with the other person. It's about liking yourself on the inside, regardless of the dark parts, cuts, bruises, and wounds, and the grim thoughts we feel about ourselves from time to time. It's more about self-acceptance than anything. We all could use some more of that.  I'm thinking... I think it is about self-love actually. She's looking at the person in the mirror staring back at her and she feels these things. At first, I thought maybe another person made her feel this way, but I think it's about learning to love yourself.  Thank You! I do think your a--lysis is right on. The words especially nearer the end of the song seem that way. It's just beautiful and I thank you for showing me this song!  Here's to s-xy solo's and fine weekends!  I somewhat know where you are coming from! There's a great radio station here that plays modern rock. However, many times, they don't reveal the song title or artist. I used to be able to go online and check out the radio station's playlist, but of course, they got rid of it - God knows why. So now, if I hear and like a song, I either try to remember a memorable lyric or I scratch something down on a napkin that will help me remember. I'm always in my car when I have the radio on. Anyway, {sometimes}, when I type in said lyrics, I think I find a song, so then I hop on over to YT and insert that song. Girl, sometimes I scream.  It's NOT the song I heard on the radio and sometimes it's the most monstrous piece of crap I've heard.  I'd get kicked off the site for listing some of this stuff.  That's what I get for trying to figure out what they are singing and then scribbling while driving.  So, don't feel alone in that regard. And yes, here's to s-xy solos - and s-xy Han Solo's too!  May the force be with him as he shoots crappy music.  _____________________________________________________   Sorry I picked a long song but Slash is so s-xy with his guitar in this video.
