He's over. 23 million followers to 9 million on youtube and it's not slowing down.

I think @Democrats 2020 means his view count. He was averaging 20m views per video and his apology only got 8 so far. No one cares about him or his apology

When stuff "resurfaces" how does it happen? Is there like a Cancel Police around searching old internet stuff to find problematic things?

Wolf Boy

Well if he’s done that means we don’t need to be subjected to his upcoming 9 part series about his haunted house which coincidentally tied into him writing a horror movie script.

Yeah if it’s talking **** then it’s different from telling a joke, bc it’s slightly implied to be true. This is foul with racist and classist undertones...

I’ve honestly reached a limit w this guy. I wasn’t offended by anything he did until this month w the taking James down a notch thing, hearing the 6yo comment clip, and now this.

I’m not basic so I’m not gonna say everything he’s ever joked about is bad but like... hopefully he is a good person now but I’m kinda not interested in finding out anymore.

Let me give you an example of why we blame cancel culture for ruining people's lives a south korean female wrestler who was starring in a reality show she yelled at a fellow cast member for ruining her wrestling suit in the washing machine so to me her reaction was justifyed because a wrestling suit is probably exspensive and its important to her but the internet thought nope were gunna cancel her for it she got cyberbullied so bad that she didnt want to be human anymore and she committed suïcide she was only 22 years old no tell me again that we shouldnt blame cancel culture for ruining people's lives

I'll never support cyberbullying of any form. I'm not familiar with the example you gave, but that's tragic that the wrestler was cyberbullied to the point that she took her own life. For me, holding someone accountable does not equal cyberbullying. To me, it means giving someone an opportunity to acknowledge how their actions may have harmed others and to apologize and constructively address the issue. If people still feel the person's actions are unforgivable, then they have the right not to watch that person's videos/films/TV shows/listen to their music/read their books etc., and if the person works with advertisers, the advertisers may choose to pull their sponsorship. If they are employed by a company, the company may choose to terminate their employment if they feel that's the best course of action. However, I will never condone cyberbullying. I'm not on Twitter and I don't follow YouTube "influencers," so I'm somewhat removed from this, but in general, I don't think that holding someone accountable should automatically be equated with cyberbullying. If that's how it works, I'm sorry to hear that. It shouldn't be like that.

I don't think anyone needs to try and ruin Shane's life, but people are allowed to be angry about his Trayvon Martin joke or his creepy bit about Willow Smith.

Girl hush! People like you are even more problematic than disgusting ass wipes like Shane because YOU enable them and keep them afloat when they should have been gone long ago!

There is no room for trash like that in this day and age and it’s always EXTREMELY interesting to me when I’m on GGD that I see a lot of opposing views that support the actual problematic ‘celebrity’. Y’all telling on yourselves, shame on you.

I just realized ALOT of sh*t! there are alot of people in this site that enables this kind of unacceptable behavior:saladga: they ARE the problem, just imagine a white person accepting an apology on the hand of POC that is beyond trash! so disgust, I mean how Dare them. and the fact they make  excuses for such a horrific act, so Preposterous.  :triggered:
