artpopsexual 1,791
I was probably 6 when I first heard Poker Face playing on the radio, along with Just Dance. Being a little kid at the time, I was like "cool, that's a fun song and I'm bopping to it". The real shock came when I first watched her music videos. I probably watched Poker Face and Paparazzi first, and then, a few months later, I was crazy for Gaga. When I watched her Bad Romance music video, I was astounded. It was everything to me. She was so different and crazy. She was so amazing and I loved everything about her. I remember listening to all of the songs I could find on the internet, and then play dressing-up mini games, watch her music videos over and over again, and even record myself dancing to Monster at 8 (I still have one of those videos lmao) . Anyways, Gaga marked me a lot growing up as a gay kid, especially when she released the Born This Way album (even though I was not really aware of the whole sexuality thing, I was a weird kid and I felt really represented by her music, fashion and videos ). this reply kinda turned out to be a "how did you become a little monster", but anyway, that's it . Wonderful story I love how young some of us were when we found her when she first started out. It’s like we’ve all grown up and evolved together with her and I’m here for it
Tony31511 310
Back in 2008 (I was 13 years old at the time), I was at a bookstore called Hastings and I happened to walk into the music section. To this day, I vividly remember walking by a CD stand that had The Fame displayed on it. The thing that caught my attention was the big ‘LADY GAGA’ text on the cover art and I thought to myself “that’s a strange name for a singer”. The rest is history. Lovelife 460
I didn't know Lady Gaga before I heard Bad Romance and my first time Gaga memory was when Sinta (a friend of mine) and I watched the music video of Bad Romance. Well, It was around 2010 when I watched Bad Romance for the first time with my friend from the elementary school and I was around 9 years old at the time we actually had no idea what the music video was gonna look like until it played and we were so shook like literally we starred at each other's eyes and went back looking to the screen keeping our eyes watching the video, Gaga was half naked, she was wearing latex, made a bed burnt and lots of crazy things happened in the video and we were like literally kept silence the entire time until the video ended and I asked my friend to not to tell my mother I watched that **** and we pretend it didn't happen lol
Riri 272
I was 13 when I was in my room watching MTV when they still played some music. Usually I used to watch the top 20 (I believe it was) almost every day, and all of a sudden Just Dance popped up and I really enjoyed the song. I didn’t become a fan until Pokerface though, but she definitely caught my attention with Just Dance. Also the first time I heard an entire Lady Gaga album was the same year. I was at a birthday party and someone gave The Fame as a present. They then played the entire album and I immediately loved it!
HermioneT 1,998
It must have been the Alejandro video and I was shocked and confused. I was obsessed with Paparazzi and Bad Romance before, but I don't think I ever saw her consciously before the mv of Alejandro (maybe on tv). She / hers

Rio 5,088
Seeing her song in my cousin's MSN status bar thing - he was playing Just Dance by Lady Gaga. First time I'd ever seen her name and I was like "who the utter **** is that?'. I was a massive Little Monster shortly after, think I was around 12 years old. And the family can blame him for the past decade of Gaga craze 🤣😜

ImTired 3,955
I hated her. I grew up in So Fla, and the Miami stations always played techno and edm. Her first few songs, I was like "Who's this girl who thinks she's something special?". Then Love Game hit, and I was fully on board. But I distinctly remember hearing JD on the radio the very first time, and thinking "Who does she think she is?" Lol I know now!
