This is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. I'm so sick of this new generation of people who literally get offended over EVERYTHING. If Jenna Marbles was harassed to the point of leaving her channel, then I guess we should all just pack it in at this point because no one is safe.

Like I literally saw nothing about this. Idk. I'm not saying she's lying about the reason she's leaving YT, but I think she could've chosen to ignore the hate or just simply apologize for her very minimal transgressions. 

The biggest overreaction in this whole situation seems to be on HER part.

Hm. Everybody knows Twitter is hella toxic though? A dozen celebrities have "canceled" scandals everyday, and their careers never actually end?

Idk. This scandal was not bad enough to warrant her leaving Youtube. Hell, SHANE didn't even quit Youtube and he did an actual blackface series. 

I find it hard to believe that public pressure drove her off the platform. These "scandals" didn't rise to any of our attention?!

I don't pity her. She's giving up Youtube as she sits in her million dollar mansion and sits on her couch and collects thousands of dollars a day from Youtube... she'll obviously come back if she wants to keep paying her bills. I feel like she's just cashing in on this

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this  

I don't watch Jenna Marbles, so I don't know what she's like, but I've heard nothing but great things about her.

That said, I didn't see anything go on about her being "cancelled." I didn't even know about all of this until I saw people talking about it and making videos about it.

If you watched her throughout the years you would know this is not true. Jenna has been offered numerous sponsorship opportunities and she refused all of them because she wanted to keep every bit of her channel authentic to her audience. She's arguably the most level-headed Youtuber still creating content. If she says something, you can tell she truly means it. No one wants to voluntarily quit the job that's making them money so your comment doesn't make sense.

I have no problem with holding even the holiest of youtubers accountable when they mess up. She definitely HAD to address those videos in my opinion BUT her leaving youtube is a push to far. She does not need to do that. Anyone can tell she sincerely is sorry, did not mean to offend, those jokes are old and she herself has changed to be an even better person (Which is great because she was already a nice person overall to start with). This was not that serious for her to leave youtube.

cancel culture is so hypocritical. as if every single person who is pushing for the cancellation didn’t do something that could be skewed as insensitive 10 years prior. it’s such a gross holier than thou movement and diminishes the need for ACTUAL cancellation. see: 6ix9ine
