Looks very interesting, but with all the big props, I think some people wouldn't see anything if it's in front of them lol.

I've said it in another thread: of course it's impressive, but Gaga doesn't have a trillion $ budget and that would literally be impossible to transport, so maybe let's not set our expectations to this. I hope everyone remains realistic here - I know LMs have a tendency to set themselves up for disappointment.

Dude...this was just for fun

But... this set is totally possible. The plastic doll mannequins in the house, not so much, but she's had all of these elements in her shows before.

You realize this stage is literally more intricate than her SuperBowl stage? :saladga:

And the fact it's just for fun is precisely what I hope everyone remembers. I just don't want people to shove this in Gaga's face once they're disappointed with the actual show. I've been in this fanbase for more than a decade, so I know a thing or two about how stans think and tend to react....

I don't expect anything from Gaga. That's a fools errand 😄. She does what she wants, she does it for a reason and you get what you get: a work of art. A layperson fan having the nerve to bully someone at Gaga and the Haus' calibur, means they swear they know better. No one but her and her team knows the complete technical, financial and creative parameters around mounting any performance. I do not know better, but I do have experience and insight into the creative, technical and managerial side of professional theatre, so it's very fun to speculate possibilities....

So, speaking from a fabrication point, this setup is possible.

First, a mockup is not destined to be the final design. The trees and hands etc may be presented differently, or removed entirely, but this concept is feasible.

Second, this mockup is more intricate than the Superbowl but you're comparing apples to oranges. That setup was made to be built, used and broken down within a half hour and never used again. Most tour shows are more intricate and involved than the Superbowl show.

Third, she's done these things before. I can go element by element things she's done in previous stage shows or things that wouldn't be a problem. LIke I said, some things would be too much of a pain in the a ass to do (like presenting and removing the robot dolls in the house, over audiences heads) but also, with edits, and considering the budget, technology and creativity can find a way :flutter:

EDIT:

I have an idea for the robot dolls in the house: if it didn't obstruct views too much, combining and elevating, the projection tech used for the floating head (BTW ball) and floating runways (Joanne) so that a scrim screen or scrimmed structure could lower from the ceiling and have the dolls/animation presented over/within the audience that way. Maybe the dolls  try to "attack" the audience like in the video! :udidnt:

This also opens of the possibility of multiple uses for this element in other parts of the show. See...possible!

I’m not saying it’s not feasible, she would just need a gargantuan budget, and you don’t need insight in stage building to know it.

Also, this isn’t a residency: as far as I know, like the SuperBowl stage, this would be supposed to be broken down and transported, so I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make. My point is: even her most expensive stage designs ever built don’t come close to this, this is simply unrealistic to expect anything that big. Or the GA tickets would be $2000 and she wouldn’t make a dime out if this tour.

My point was that 1) with creativity and compromise this concept can be done at an acceptable budget 2) because a mockup is a guide not certainty and 3) she's had many of these elements together before.

The mockup as is is unrealistic but clever design could render all of these elements at, I guess you could say, a non-consumer-punitive budget.

It's just a fun creative exercise to think about these things. For me anyway 😂

KeepItCool

It looks great but she’s only doing a handful of shows (that we know of) so I wouldn’t expect them to spend this much.
