Even though I usually prefer songs with big, powerful choruses, I love this one and I think it totally fits the theme of the song, where she's a bit numb because of the medication. It really gives me a video game vibe too.

I don't understand why people always want Gaga to have "big, bombastic choruses"...

Like, y'all understand most of her songs don't have that kind of chorus right? :smh:

But at least her choruses haven't been as monotonous and as basic as 911s :neyde:  its the same line repeated over and over again with no variation

I mean, it's different enough from the verses where you can differentiate the two. It's not my favorite chorus (at all), but it's fine the way it is. Again, a lot of Gaga's choruses can feel "monotone" in nature, in the sense that they're not as big and bombastic as some people make them out to be.

For example, SL's chorus is actually pretty "big," for Gaga's standards, yet a lot of people complained about it.

so is heavy metal lover chorus.  I like it rough.  poker face. starstruck. gypsy. like literally did u not see my OP? so many of her choruses are the same line repeated over and over w no variation.

and it does have variation, 911.

my BIGgest enemy is me, ever since day one, pop a 911 then pop another one

come on.  it has more words & variation than some of her other iconic chorus's.

idk why everyone is so shook at 911's being one repeated line...

Well, it's actually not one line repeated :fan:

My biggest enemy is me, pop a 911

My biggest enemy is me, pop a 911

My biggest enemy is me, ever since day one

Pop a 911 then pop another one

It's only repeated twice and the inflection on the beginning of the third line is different. The verses are definitely the star of 911 though.
