I am not, and I am not in any sense musically professional or educated. I wonder can you give me some reassurance please. If we accept that Gaga was below her beat last year, and the reasons for that would have been some combination of drinking, smoking, tiredness, illness, is it reasonable to hope that there is no permanent damage and that she can get back to her best form ? Sure, nothing is permanent... not at least what Gaga is doing. If you stop and rest, your voice can heal even withing 2 weeks and return back to normal. Nothing to worry about! Belting doesn't mean you have to substain a note, it can also be a phrase. I know what belting means thank you lol I didn’t mention these songs neither did I say a note had to be substained to be belted BTW the chorus in SFA isn't belted, but the end of the post-chorus is (3rd I heard one sine, and it healed my heart, heard a sine)

I think it’s absolutely reasonable to think that she could re-calibrate her instrument. From personal experience, I know that the trauma responses that Gaga experiences can absolutely have a negative influence on her voice (especially if the trauma is in some way embedded into her performance mindset). So that’s one factor that with a comprehensive mental health plan she can continuously mitigate. One thing that she also has in her advantage is that her technique is, generally, very good. When she’s feeling under, she doesn’t push herself too far and she usually compensates for the illness or fatigue by modifying her technique, which means she has likely done very little to no permanent damage. Two very positive things I’ve seen were her recent performances for One World. Especially her technique on The Prayer. She honed into her classical chops and mixed that style with her pop training for a wonderfully clear sound that far surpassed a lot of her technique as of late. It seems to me like she was going through a lot during Enigma and it took a toll on her physically, psychologically, and, consequently, vocally. I’m honestly really looking forward to hearing her do some live work for Chromatica, but if her taking a hiatus helps her health, I’m here for that, too. We have forgotten our public MANNERS

First and foremost I want her to be healthy and happy. If that means a long break from performing, I can wait. It's actually only occurring to me now that the Chromatica tour was scheduled to be under way now or soon, so that in itself is encouraging.
