Oldgagafan 111
In general I much prefer pop to ballads so Popga but I do like some of her ballads.
REALITY 77,455
Both. I’ve always said that Gaga’s at her best when she’s just at a piano, and to be honest, the ASIB soundtrack has some of her best songs in her career. I mean, ARUTW, Shallow, INLA, ITA?, etc. are not only some of her best ballads, but some of her best work in general. That said, Chromatica is also my favorite Gaga album and there are no ballads on it. I love both PopGa and BalladGa, and I think it’s really difficult to choose between the two. They’re two facets of her that are equally good and important. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔲𝔰𝔦𝔠'𝔰 𝔤𝔬𝔫𝔫𝔞 𝔟𝔯𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔪𝔢 𝔟𝔞𝔠𝔨 𝔣𝔯𝔬𝔪 𝔡𝔢𝔞𝔱𝔥

From Wikipedia: Ballads derive from the medieval French chanson balladée or ballade, which were originally "dance songs". @ViviLittleM @Miaou confirm Thats not entirely correct. It refers to the scheme betweeen verses. Tho medieval and renaissance bops with words werent that faster than a ballad ahh The modern term comes after 18th century, with the revival of folk music into the classical music. Being its peak of popularity in 19th century with the sentimental ballads. Were basically folk melodies like with chorus. And being extra pathetic, thus the today meaning Ot: i go with balladga, at least at this point. I feel her more comfortable there.

That said, my favorite song remains Til It Happens To You and while she makes killer dancepop and electropop music, her ballads are just heavenly. I have to go for ballads. But Til It Happens To You went #1 in the hot dance/electronic club chart Everything could be everything (it could mean anything)
