cassavetes 381
Some of the mental gymnastics in here... age of consent, whether he was 18, 19, 20, the size of his penis, acting like federal judges. It's not always black or white. A r4pist is not the typical villain you'd see in fiction, but it's always the same technicalities used to discredit the victim's story she needs to tell in order to start healing. A person is now living in pain because of his actions and he should be accountable for it regardless of our takes on it. You're not the one to decide. Because she paints it out to be like there's like a 8 year age gap and what he did was straight up predatory. She wasn't necessarily underage depending on the location where it happened. His age changes things because she repeatedly emphasizes her age in order to establish a big gap that would make it seem he's a big creep, when that's not really the case. Continuing to penetrate someone while they are in pain is WRONG. He should have at the very least asked if she wanted to continue. But I don't believe this constitutes sexual assault. This would be completely be different if he had tried to repress her pain or if she had withdrawn consent verbally and he continued. It's bad sexual practice, but I don't believe it constitutes sexual assault. She talks about nudes and a threesome. Him mentioning that before they met should give her an idea of what would happen. Agreeing to meet after such conversations doesn't automatically lead to consent, but it creates character for him. Afterwards shows her still engaging with him. My thing is if he was asking for nudes and THAT made you uncomfortable...why would you go so far as to somehow MEET him and then get in bed with him??? There's a lot of gaps to the story... What gaps? Teenagers are desperate for attention, and getting attention from someone who is famous/influential feels very exciting and validating. Girls are also socialized to believe their main value is their sexuality. There are no gaps here, the cultural math is easy and obvious. Famous men have used this method to get young hot girls since Hollywood was born and no doubt before that. It‘s manipulation. Even Gaga spoke on it in five foot two, that men in the music industry expect all women to be essentially groupies regardless of what they are there for. Borislshere 53,080
God this site makes me f*cking sick. bad sex doesn’t leave you with severe ptsd. If she’s laying there crying, stop?? I thought that was common sense? Or make sure they’re okay?? Not to force your **** in saying you have to break the person in. Ansel at the time was HUGE. Lots of teen girls would’ve jumped at the chance to get his attention and he knew that.
elijahfan 26,275
It does seem like she unnecessarily put herself in a position of danger (in the end, a celeb is still a stranger), but it was still her right to change her mind and say no in the end, and he would've respected that if he wasn't some entitled selfish little starlet. This isn't how sex works. If his own satisfaction is the only thing that matters to him in bed, Ansel, let me introduce you to your right hand. REALITY 76,691
Just now, FRANZGA said: She knew what she's doing with her repeating "I was only 17 and he was on his 20s".. About the sexual assault, i just based from her post.. and yup, my take from it is "it's a horrible first sex experience" Well maybe where she met him, the age of consent was 18. Either way, his age doesn't really matter. Whether or not he was 18, or 19, or 20 doesn't negate the fact that he seemed to sexually assault her. Your "take" invalidates her feelings. She had to go to therapy, she has PTSD. One bad or mediocre sexual experience doesn't do that to a person. Just now, justhislife said: Because she paints it out to be like there's like a 8 year age gap and what he did was straight up predatory. Okay, then by that logic let's just assume that where she was did have a minimum age of consent at 18. I don't really understand why y'all are bringing up points like, "Well, age of consent is 16 or 17 depending on where you are." Like, why are you just going to assume that wherever they were had the age of consent at 16 or 17? Why not assume 18? Either way, for me, the bigger problem in regards to some people's comments here has more to do with Ansel's actions than his age. She was young and naive, maybe she didn't know how exactly to say no to him in the moment. Maybe that sounds like an excuse, but there are plenty of people out there who have went through similar situations. If you're not consenting to what's happening, not saying "no" doesn't negate your feelings about the situation. Even if she didn't verbalize it, that doesn't mean that it doesn't constitute as sexual assault. People are scared, people freeze up. You don't know what to do in that situation. She even said herself that she disassociated from herself at the time. Finally, yes, she talks about him asking for nudes and a threesome, but we don't know if that happened before or after they had sex. Alphaz 7,956
There is always two sides of every story. From what I read, she's agreed on sending nudes, having sex, ended up regretted it. We don't know what happened between them, we only got a glimpse of her side of the story. It might be true, but there is still a chance she's just looking for attention, I'm not ruling that out. I'm pretty sure people will say "people like you is the reason why people of sexual assault afraid to tell their story" or whatever. Remember Floppy mess on GGD? Yeah, people can say whatever they want, we only knows what we read on screen, unless we personally know them.
