I’ve actually hated on FN on this site, I know many users can attest to that :poot:

But I gave it another shot and it actually grew on me a lot. I still think Chromatica is more interesting overall, but FN is still a great pop album. I don’t understand why the comparisons and putting the two women against each other, as if there’s some sort of competition. Enjoy both, no one says you can just listen to one.

I think for me Future Nostalgia has higher highs and lower lows. Imo Hallucinate, Physical, Levitating, and Don’t Start Now are better than all of Chromatica (including Alice and Replay, my favorite songs on the album). Meanwhile Good in Bed and Boys will be Boys are way worse than all of Chromatica. That being said I still think that FN is the better album because it gives me TFM vibes: heavenly collection of bops that are in a VERY short album. Chromatica lacks standouts and the album is too cohesive to a fault. Each song is hella short.

It's all subjective, and there's plenty of room for everyone.

My tuppence worth is that I prefer Chromatica because it's Gaga who's doing the singing, and the album is therefore, inevitably, thrilling.
