I mean I remember Say So skating with AT LEAST 1.5-2M updates still at this point in its run cause it was right with SL at the time. It’s not a good sign that our supposed “song of the summer” is struggling to get above 0.5M updates. We NEED good callout scores or this could be done in the next couple of weeks. My comment is based on the fact that one of the cowriters performed the song herself. It was only slightly different from hers and I had no reason to believe she wouldn't have just performed her own version of it. The way she described it sounded like a writing camp and it sounded like Gaga only got involved with that song after the initial writing process. That said, I know Gaga is generous with credits in general. I have always defended her contribution in Til It Happens To You because she wrote multiple instrumental parts for it all by herself. Also, of course Gaga doesn't NEED anybody to write a song. You should look at the context of that post though. It was in response to someone saying an entire album just by Gaga. If it's a whole album written just by her, it would take a long, long time. This is extremely difficult work and we're talking about situations where she's written and produced everything. Even if she only writes and has producers work for her, it would mean she'd have to write all or almost all instrumentals so she's the sole writer.
