why does it seem not really believable gaga calling and saying "whatever happens tonight". i mean, it would be her second week on #1 at the UK chart, would she really care that much for the results?

Plus they're just stirring it for publicity. I never heard of these guys until tthis morning. It worked well for Blur and Oasis back in the day. 

Yeah they even cited Blur and Oasis. They’re very obviously just using this once in a lifetime moment to their advantage and why not tbh. They and Gaga both obviously sees the lightheartedness of it so I’m not sure why the fans can’t.

It seems to be a vintage one so even more expensive and rare than the more recent remodel. Frank Zappa collected and used microphones such as the U47 so I wonder if the one she was using was left behind in his home/studio that she bought.

I don’t take that as caring about whether she gets #1, I take that as her softening the blow for them and being kind - as in - don’t be sad if you don’t get it, because it’s fine, and it’s a huge achievement regardless.

She’s spoken so much this era about supporting younger artists and reaching out to them to show love and kindness - why are some people finding this so hard to believe? She walks the walk.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I believe tho she only did it cause they seemed to really want that achievement.

Definitely. She knows what it’s like to be in that position. Being so supportive is one of her best qualities. She didn’t need to take the time to show that to a band that are basically nobodies even in the UK, but she did. She gets it. Empathy. Many LMs could take several notes.

Honestly I feel bad for her. In trying to be kind she is just feeding their intolerable egos. Middle class British dudes are so entitled and self important. A hundred bands before them have already achieved all they ever think they will. Can’t wait for these guys to fade away.
