Mariah Carey's self-titled debut album turns 30 years old! It was released on June 12th, 1990 and spent 11 weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200! It is 9x Platinum in the United States and sold over 16 million copies worldwide! It spawned four #1's including her debut single Vision of Love, and her other 3 released singles such as "Love Takes Time", "Someday" and "I Don't Wanna Cry".

The reception of the album was overwhelmingly positive, critics noting her brilliant vocals and songwriting. The album was nominated for Album of the Year at the 1991 Grammys and her debut single, "Vision of Love" was nominated for 3 Grammys for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, winning the latter.

Blown Away

Legendary, talent galore, iconic debut album. 4 stellar singles and Prisoner could've been another one. Vanishing, Sent From Up Above and You Need Me are fantastic as well. This album has no tracks below a 5/10 (except for There's Got To Be A Way)
