Before yeah. Hate is a strong word and now I could say that if people don’t like her, they’re just indifferent. People used to hate her “antics”. I’m speaking from an Asian perspective. People do seem to recognize that she’s one of the more talented pop stars. I don’t think many hate her today. Although she used to repulse people. Is there a pop star that people hate now? I think at most they’re just indifferent, which could worse.

Also Beyoncé is not a fraud. She hustles. In my country at least she’s recognized as a bigger star and cooler although musically she’s not that relevant when it comes to recent hits. Like the only song from 2013 onwards that the GP surely knows is DIL or Perfect remix to a stretch. Her older catalog is much bigger and more relevant than any of her contemporaries however sans Taylor.

As the years pass less and less people will hate her. Madonna stans will fizzle off and the youths born in this decade and last decade won’t have a reason to hate her. Also a lot of the other fan bases will stop following their fave when they grow up (like Katy Perry’s fan base) and there will be less Stan wars. By 2040 I’m sure she’ll be one of the most respected and known artists out there, more so than she already is.

I don’t think she’s hated, certainly not anymore. I think she is a serious player on the world’s stage and stans are threatened by that and forced to eat humble pie again and again.

She was so big in her early days and monsters were so insufferably cocky that people love to see her fail to spite them

It's easy to hate things that you don't understand.

Gaga's work has almost never come in bite-size pieces. It requires attention and thought to fully appreciate. Especially considering the fact that Gaga sometimes consiously chooses to confuse, 'bemuse' and provoke her audience. So it makes sense that a lot of people reject it before even taking the time to understand it.

Yes, agreed. Hate is a very strong word, and I don't think it applies in this case.

I do sometimes think though that there is an anti-Gaga agenda in mainstream media. I can only talk about my own country I suppose, which is Ireland, and I don't think she gets a lot of respect here. She barely got a mention in reporting on the One World Together concert, and I heard two guys reviewing Chromatica on the radio last week, and it sounded like they were both holding their noses, and when they played a snippet they used a section of Sour Candy on which everybody sang except Gaga. There's zero excuse for dissing her after ASIB, but it's still happening. I think it's deliberate, a policy decision. Maybe she's stepped on too many big boys toes.

Many people dislike Gaga and don't even know why. They just feel that they should.

I think ASIB, Joanne, Cheek to Cheek and her first Oscars performances went a long way in humanizing and exposing her to new fans. Some of the peeps here like to make fun of those first three projects, but it allowed fans of other genres to see that she was capable of a lot more than they expected. Super Bowl 51 also poked a visible hole in the argument that pop stars can't sing live.

The most important thing, Gaga doesn't give a **** about all of that. In fact, I think she'd prefer if people hated her than didn't really have a strong opinion.

Yep, and judging from the comments she receives on Facebook, some people just like to hate her for no reason which is sad. Hopefully she doesn't give a f**k about it but it's still disturbing to witness this kind of violence she gets virtually.

Gaga is going to be disrespected and discredited for her hard work till the day she’s gone, unfortunately. But she has millions who adore and love her.

As long as there is no valid and serious reason to hate her, I ignore these pressedT haters and rather enjoy the slayage Gaga gives us :queenga: .
