Why all Asian statistics do not correlate with black statistics.

“some black people”. and what about the other races? are you saying every white and asian person works incredibly hard to get out of poverty while black people dont? i have news for you: that’s a stereotype and not only is it incredibly false, it’s super racist towards black people who work just as hard if not harder because of the pushback they face from people like you.

And the 2020s will...we all know that history keeps repeating itself. 

Which is why I kind of loathe the Negative Nancy’s who robotically, simplistically and often ignorantly dismiss the achievements of the past (the very ones that enable them to express themselves), and declare that NOW is a bad time. Like, what??? Focus on positives AND negatives please. Things aren’t perfect - they never have been and they never will be. But, thanks to peaceful trailblazers Rosa Parks, MLK, Ghandi and others,  we DON’T have a lot of the horrors and inequities of the past. This is something to be celebrated.

We spend far too much time being outraged, offended and angry instead of reflective of the journey that enables us to live the privileges that others in the past fought and died for. We are lucky that we live in a world after Martin Luther King than the world before. Did he really fight for a world that would take everything he gave us (but he didn’t have himself) for granted???

First of all, maybe quote more than just a tenth of what I said  

Unto this though...how exactly did my statement imply that? Please, educate me. All I said was that there are POC that are privleged. That's a true statement. Just because they're happy and fine and well off doesn't negate the systematic oppression of POC in this country.

So you say "lots of blacks work really hard to get out of this poverty," but in the statement preceeding that you also say that they "just want money fro mthe government." Which is it? 

Many Black people in America shout at how injured they are because they are injured. It's no coincidence that many Black people in this country deal with poverty. The United States is rooted in a centuries old tradition of oppressing Black people. 

Stealing isn't right, I agree, but also letting millions of people in your country get bogged down by the very system that is supposed to help them isn't right either. Instead of looking at the individual action of theft, look at the bigger picture. Crime, most of the time, isn't random. People have motives when they commit crimes. Look into what those motives are.

The results can improve if the system lets it. The problem is that few politicians are actually doing anything. You can invest in poor neighborhoods, schools, public safety (that just doesn't involve an aggressive and racist police force), transportation, recreational activities, etc. 

Your "there's a limit where things can't improve" argument is an excuse.

Or maybe there are people out there who are legitimately uncomfortable with their lives...What's going on in the United States right now isn't a result of people who are bored and have nothing else to do.

And ask yourself maybe why that is. 

Does it have to do with their upbringing? The environment they grew up in? The way they were treated? The way they were disciplined? Does it have something to do with their income?

You’ll have to forgive us, but it’s really frustrating that there’s obviously a very racist, very flame bait-y culture on this forum. It speaks volumes to the OP’s post. 
 

At a certain point, it becomes overwhelming. Clearly something was done to cultivate that culture and it sure as hell was not Gaga herself. She preaches the opposite. So what gives?

Instead of just telling us black lives matter in the banner of the website, why not just... ban racists out the gate instead of letting them wreak havoc for weeks in multiple threads? What are you doing to show us you actually mean it? 
 

GagaDaily, like America, has always had a race problem. I’ve been on here for nearly 8 years. It’s time to hear how we’re going to reconcile that from the administration/mod standpoint. 
 

Because for years it’s felt like the only people policing racists and white supremacy are users — and I’ve seen that burden fall disproportionately on users of color. That’s unfair.

Is it at the level of the one in the 50-60s? Absolutely not.

It's definitely better than it was when I was a kid.  My parents would take us swimming at Lake Welsh NY. They had a black section and a white section which were very close to each other. My Mom would warn me not to swim close to the blacks. I'm glad her thinking did not effect my thinking.
