I don't get why Metacritic is being treated as a good metric system (unlike for example Rotten Tomatoes). Why are we basing this out of less than 20 reviewers? Is this a normal number of critics for any pop album?

Are they the only ones who are actually saying something about music? I just don't get it.

Not as good as Chromatica, no.

They only gave her a higher score because it's just her second album and they didn't expect that level of quality early in her career. The album is nothing groundbreaking.

Also, critics have always been harsh on Gaga. She's always been held to a higher standard and/or viewed through a different lens than the other pop girls.
