Tone is not a policy stance. She’s actually saying real words ykno. You don’t get to validly dismiss her whole argument just bc you don’t like her tone, bc when you have nothing to say in response after you ignored the argument-that’s how your neoliberal policies lose. Also not you bringing up character attacks when Nina is known for her strong policy. Maybe you’re thinking of Trump. To use that article as the basis of why Warren didn't attack Biden on the campaign trail when Biden lost the first three states and Warren was polling ahead of everyone for literally months in 2019 and early 2020 is a reach. That's all I'm going to say about that. I'm not even going to bother with the whole Nina thing because it's silly. Who knows what she will do in 2024 and I also got the feeling she got angry after S. Carolina so I don't even blame her that much for it. Honestly, I still like her, so I don't want it to seem like I'm attacking her. I just like Stacy a little more right now. Again it's not 2024 that can change it's silly to argue it now. I do want to say that I would love to see both of them running in a 2024 primary. I can choose then. I'm gonna go out and vote. But I live in Tennessee so it's not gonna do much. Clinton lost for just 77k key votes, and we dont know the effect Comey's last second move had. And she was hated by everyone, for the average democrat, Biden is just Obama's bro.

All of this without the protests taken into account yet. Check my previous post for the link. So, this is a genuine question. Don't you think Biden should still - policy wise - strive to become better and more inclusive, though? I think that's what bothers most people, and most Biden voters I've seen seem so unbothered by it that it, at times, looks very Republican-y in terms of blindly following a party. Also please don't say something like "he can do that after November" because if politicians are not earning your votes, if you're just giving them out freely, then the voters basically have no power whatsoever. So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

I think that's what bothers most people, and most Biden voters I've seen seem so unbothered by it that it, at times, looks very Republican-y in terms of blindly following a party. Fair question. The thing is that I believe he is already being more inclusive and trying to make better policy, like just this week he immediately talked about his police reform plan. The problem here, and I dont mean to sound mean or anything, I feel like certain progressives are a bit "all or nothing" here. For example, Biden might not have Medicare4All, but he does want to expand Obamacare (and save it from Trump repealing it leaving millions uninsured) Biden might not be all in for a perfect environment care shift, byt he will rejoin the Paris agreement and im pretty sure he will be open to new ideas and will set everything on the right path, unlike Trump (just yesterday he gutted ALL environmental regulations, with the excuse that they block the economic revival, he had us distracted enough for it). He has also accepted his own mistakes, like saying he regrets many points of his 1994 crime law that people attack him so much for. (Law that included the Violence Against Women act btw) So, I know he is far from perfect, but I really believe he is the current best path for a better future, the jump to progressivism would be much easier after him than after a second Trump term. I also feel that probably because of comfort, and the fact that it took Trump to get a huge chunk of the population to be more involved in politics, that people underestimate what Obama did for the country, a few days ago there was a thread that was a great example of this, asking if he did anything for police brutality, and most people said he did nothing, until someone else came in with recepits and showed that he did do what he could, like limiting the military equipment they get (limitation Trump removed on his first year) among other things. SevenWonder 4,748
I love it when non Americans weigh in on American politics. Biden is beloved. He's made mistakes. Who hasn't? But he's kind, smart, compassionate and will be a very good president. Will he be Barack? No. But he'll be just fine.
PrinceGaga 7,644
Well to be frank the ultimate goal is surely to get Trump out of office and to do that you need to vote for Biden. It's as simple as that. If you don't vote at all because you don't like Biden either... well then you're helping Trump win. You may not like Biden either but surely(!!!) he's a lesser evil that Trump... Goodness me at least the man is qualified for a start. Voting is your chance to speak so please shout loud and do what's right.

Biden is a weaker candidate than Hillary Clinton, and that's saying a lot. Convention rules literally allow the party to switch out any person when they want. If they wanted to promote a Centrist there were better options without allegations and without mental decline and options of Centrists who choose their words more carefully before they speak This is gonna be embarrassing

Honestly it was pure luck for Trump. The votes were divided by region just enough for him to get EC votes he needed But if Hilary was as weak a candidate as many suggest she wouldn't have won by almost 3 million votes!
