Gaga did NOT want to even REMOTELY approach the realm of what Assange does for work, making this choice a real head scratcher. On the other hand, MIA’s collaboration with Assange for her song, “atTENTtion” at least bore the weight of proximity to the global refugee crisis, this 100% reads like a privileged white woman from an imperialist country who wandered into a room with a man that she’s not sure she even wants to talk to.
