Your profile pics can kill

My list would be:

Spoiler

#8 - Joanne

#7 -  Cheek to Cheek (on the sole fact that no song is written by her)

#6 - The Fame

#5 - A Star is Born

#4 - Born This Way

#3 - The Fame Monster

#2 - Chromatica

#1 - ARTPOP

ARTGOD

I pretty much agree with the ranking and their assessments of every album, though of course I would put ARTPOP at #1.

To me BTW, ARTPOP and Joanne are the trinity.

They said she did not take ANY risks with Chromatica... ?¿?¿?

Am I the only one that thinks Chromatica is HIGHLY experimental? It's obviously dance music that's easy to play and have fun to. But to me, at the same time, it is very dense in sound, lyrics and imagery, and has an approach on house music that I have never heard before, which actually makes it not that easy to get and digest immediatly like your typical pop song(which is why to some it felt like a grower). Even the melodies and flow are not quite common, at least these days and in mainstream music. It's, to me, like Björk's Utopia (masterpiece) but make it 80's house-pop

Idk, to me it's just like what Gaga has done in her first four albums. Elevating pop, electronic music, experimenting with it, using clever references, deconstructing them and rebuilding something totally unique, and end up delivering a high-concept pop album w a fully realized aesthetic. ARTPOP

I don’t want to sound mean, but have you listened to a lot of house music? Because while I like Chromatica, I listen to this and it sounds like pretty standard house inspired pop music and certainly not anything new and/or different on par with Utopia (how many albums can you say are primarily driven by bird song?). I think for everything that’s wonderful about Chromatica, it is also not super adventurous with its musical choices. It might be lyrically different than a typical pop love song and I really appreciate that, but I think it’s hard to compare her relatively straightforward lyricisms of Chromatica to the heightened eccentricities of BTW or ARTPOP.

Absolutely not. Chromatica is incredibly nuanced sonically and lyrically. It's also the most cohesive album since Born This Way tbh. In my opinion, whilst ARTPOP and Joanne are great albums, they've aged so badly (aside from a few songs on each)

I have to agree, I believe that each album in and of itself is something so stylistically different that they can’t all be ranked together

Also choke me with those arms daddy :huntyga:

Chromatican

I think The Fame Monster, Born This Way and Joanne is her top 3, but this order is a mess.
