I just can't get into Replay!

Omg I loved Replay at first listen. When those muted disco synths started at the beginning I knew it would one of my favourites. And her British-esque accent on the bridge. It's such a hard-hitting, euphoric disco banger. :firega:

This was a grower for me! At first listen it reminded me of the chaos that is Americano :billie: But then replaying it the late 90s/early 2000s vibe came through. The instrumental feels inspired by songs like Fat Boy Slim's Right Here Right Now. And lyrically it speaks to my current love life :awkney: so yeah, cool experimental song

I don't think I've ever seen such a polarizing song from Gaga. Usually, we all kinda reach some kind of consensus, but with Replay, it's either people's absolute favorite or least favorite, it's quite incredible.

Its amazing how our mind works :bradley:

I can’t get into it either. I appreciate it for sure and I like the production, but the melody of the chorus is just not for me. But I can see how it’s many people’s favorite.

I think Replay is haunted. It's like a command. Every time it ends I have to replay it.

Pink flamingos always fascinated me.

It's in my top 3 with Alice and 911. It gives me almost the same amount of energy as when I first listened to Aura. The way the momentum builds and Gaga's vocals growl into the last chorus. I have chills just thinking about it.

I skip replay. I can’t get into it. Hopefully it grows on me. Enigma is fire.

It’s so dark and raw... like does anyone else get a creepy vibe from it?? I almost feel like it could be a Halloween song. :laughga: I feel like I’m at a rave for witches. But really though, it’s scary in a truthful way, like the context of the song. Maybe the “creepy” sound is intentional?

On a serious note, it’s so dark and honest and insane how she made a song about trauma over such a wicked dance beat. The vocals are sooooo great too. Omg.

I can definitely relate to it. I get flashbacks of traumatic **** and there’s really no way to describe it other than how they “replay” in my head and they’re hard to control. This might be arguably one of her best songs ever, content-wise and lyrically speaking. :legend: One of my favorite songs upon my first listen of the album. Very The Fame Monster-esque, but very EDM and sonically away from her classic sound.

Candy Gaga

It's my favourite song on the album and currently my favourite song in Gaga's discography. It's like a combination of everything I love DarkPop with a SynthPop production and massive hype before a wonderful beat drop. Give yourself time and maybe you'll get into it.

Its one of the most fitting in her voice, that sonically represents well the feelings and wraps up well the message shes going for.

Best song hands down. The Production is otherworldly and so much needed nowadays - this is a dance track down to a T. Lyrically it goes so deep and shows the spiral Gaga is stuck in due to her PTSD.

Masterpiece!
