There are certainly songs that we are going to be talking about forever. I can't even imagine an LG7. This album is going to be on repeat for a very long time. I finally took the album for a drive... it's so freaking enjoyable, I can't even explain, I can't.... (I already knew I was going to love this songs blasting on my car but the way that kept me dancing behind the steering wheel, not normal lol) . Plus when I think about what she can do with some of this songs performing live, the truns and twists she can add.... the euphoric and grandiose vibes. I love it lyrically but then again, the production feels somehow stuck in a limbo between past and future, as if they couldn’t find the right balance in order to make it work in 2020. ROM may be the exception, with it being the biggest pop collab in years, and Sine from Above is that b!tch to my ears, but overall the album feels overrated for me. I’m truly happy that most of y’all are enjoying this though. Gaga deserves the support and then some. So for me the 'stuck in limbo between past and future' is exactly why this album will be timeless. PS. Sorry you're not loving it as much as some of us. It's a grower. Stick it on repeat. OMonster 14,464
I completely agree. I also think a lot of the critics on here (though, a minority) will come round to see the greatness of this album... just like they did with ARTPOP. This album really highlights Gaga's evolution as an artist, vocalist and being. Honestly, I think it's one of her best. I LOVE BTW but there are some tracks that are of their time. And, tbh, I love that about that album, but a 34-year-old Gaga wouldn't make some of those songs anymore - understandably, of course. But I do find it odd that people want Gaga to write songs that wouldn't connect to her life anymore. ARTPOP and Chromatica, for me, come from the same place, however. AP is a rebellious suffocation of all the troubles in her life, whilst Chromatica is a really introspective look at all that trouble, addressing it explicitly and turning it into music in a way that is much clearer and less chaotic. For that reason (and many others), I really think this album could be her 'best' by many measures. It is her most personal, her most raw... she sings the best she ever has... the concept, the visuals... the 'mature' and 'elevated' pop sound... it's just everything we (or at least I) could want from Gaga at this stage in her life. I also find it her most liberating album, too. There's something extremely powerful and moving about listening to a pop album by Gaga in her mid thirties, as it's a very deep and meaningful record whilst also retaining the early 'vibe' of her previous albums that we all love. It's like ARTPOP + Joanne in that sense... she's processing her pain with much more understanding and maturity, but doing so in a way that does feel authentically 'Gaga' and not diluted. It's everything subtext / fantasy

Sorry you're not loving as much as some. It's a grower. Stick it on repeat. I’d mean that in the most positive way if only I didn’t feel like it tried going all over the place without actually getting there. It had some 90s moments, a lot of 10s moments, some ARTPOP here and there, but even with how the interludes fade into the next songs, it’s paradoxical that I’m still left with the feeling that as an album it’s missing cohesiveness and somewhat of a timeless factor. What that timeless factor should be I can’t really put into words, it’s just a feeling you get. I get it when listening to Currents from Tame Impala, Lana’s Born To Die, Lorde’s Pure Heroine, Gaga’s own ASIB soundtrack, but I don’t get it from Chromatica. I’m still enjoying some tracks individually. Not a fan of how Free Woman and Babylon turned out to be in the end, but I’m completely sold when it comes to ROM, SFA and Alice. Those last 35 seconds from Sine from Above blow me away every single time. So experimental and I’m a sucker for her robotic voce in Alice and the verses in Sour Candy. I’m still able to appreciate how much of her own pain she put into this work and I love her for being able to share that with the world. The lyrics here are the most personal we’ve ever got from her. LePythagore 45
I like it but it sounds like that could have been released ten years ago. It already sounds very dated instead of forward-thinking.

steven 4,842
Hum, as much as I want it to be, I don’t think it will. ASIB will be timeless on the other hand.
