"A 19-year-old was fatally shot during the downtown Detroit protest against police brutality late Friday night.

The incident happened in the area of Randolph and Congress at around 11:25 p.m.

According to officials, a grey Dodge Durango pulled up and fired into the crowd, striking a 19-year-old man. The victim was transported to the hospital and was pronounced dead.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still being investigated".

How long does this tragedy have to go? Now a 19-year-old had to die bc police seems to be giving a sh*t about others' lives. Can everyone just stop and live in peace? 2020 is bad enough already  .

This is so ****ing heartbreaking. I just got back home at 1 am from 6 hours of protesting and it was...... let me tell you so ****ing beautiful and iconic  to see people of color taking over the streets and dancing and no police in site for hours .....life was celebrated

the. Police came at the very very very end 

I am truly changed forever right now 

To get home and read this is devastating, this person will be remembered forever  and I’m sure this weekend people are going to be calling his name
