Literally, why do people hate Bloodpop's productions? He's just exclusively produced Gaga's best album :air:

but y'all aren't ready for this conversation

He’s the ****ing executive producer of the album.

Y’all just clearly just don’t have taste to enjoy the album version of Babylon

But y’all aren’t ready for that conversation :vegas:

can we be the judge if it makes sense or not? give us the track

For me, Babylon is the worst song on the album.

BOTH versions of Babylon are good. BloodPop confirmed that the HL version is also getting released too. There literally should be no more arguing about this song. You’ll have two versions to stream/play, just pick whichever one you want and shut the **** up :vegas:

I gotta be honest and say that when I first listened to the album version I was disappointed they changed it so much but I can see why now. I've listened to it like 5 times now and it's a great song to end the album with. Bloodpop is a GREAT producer and he's very talented. As for Babylon, I'm excited to hear that we're getting the other version and they KNOW we want it so bad so it works that they release the single with the remix as a CD like they did SL and ROM, it'd make sense to boost sales.

And damn at the amount of bullying Gaga's collaborators get on social media, no wonder she says it's the toilet of the internet. Bloodpop, Mark Ronson, DJ White Shadow and even RedOne have to put up with **** from fans, embarrassing.

Yeah it'd be nice to get the HL version, but I agree. This version fits the overall album better, though. Putting the hyper-modern version of HL on there would just sound off. Modern house with throwback house? nah. It would feel a little off, to me. I like the version there with the sax a lot, but would love to get the other as well.

Was wondering why Bloodpop is so heavy on the record. He seems to be cool but our drama-free RedOne deserves a spot on the album too. I hope she releases their work together.

To be clear, nothing wrong with Chromatica. Really love it but long for a Gaga x RedOne 2020 sound. He was behind so many wonderful tracks. Not asking them to replicate prior work.  Just curious about how their sound has evolved.

Love Bloodbop! I think he's right, the Haus Labs version would work better as a remix. I love the choir and horns in the album version, it feels triumphant. An amazing end to an amazing album

The one we got is a complete downgrade. The original was a hot club voguing anthem. It was fierce and empowering. That thick beat with her chanting voice, the subtle cowbells in the production, the catchy hook sample saying “ba ba ba ba ba”..... it was the recipe for an instant classic up there with her iconic hits and deep cuts like Venus and Scheisse. However, it got turned into a weird vogue knock off. It just... doesn’t work.

The original fits with many of the darker songs like 911, Alice, Replay and Plastic Doll so I don’t understand why it couldn’t have been on the album.

Well the album version of Babylon feels more like an overall celebration (the added choir/saxophone really weaves this tone in well) that wonderfully conveys Gaga's message which states that she's back and no longer cares about what people say. The darker tone and more "industrial" aspects of the original version wouldn't necessarily work as well being the album closer.

Yeah no, not when Chromatica has the best, most polished production of all her albums.

He’s right but..

just release both and make everyone happy - but keep the current one as the albums main as it fits better

i'm not saying it's a bad song or he's a bad producer but the way chromatica came to us made it seem like it was gonna be another of Gaga's ventures into uncharted pop singer territory (like ASIB, C2C and Joanne were, literally no other pop singer has released that kind of genre defying discography -including her first 4 albums-.)

it could also be the label trying a "safe" sound with chromatica to not go the ARTPOP route which for sales and apparent "success" wasn't good but for music it was def more experimental than the usual dance album
