George Floyd protests. Rina Sawayama was stanning but then she stopped because twitter users were crucifying her telling her to ‘read the room’. It’s unfortunate this whole thing is happening but hopefully Gaga’s music can be medicine for some people.

These Twitter SJWs need to get the **** off of Rina's back.

These twitter social justice warriors are the pits though. They want to dictate people’s speech online. People can enjoy and celebrate their fave’s album release and also be supportive of the black lives movement.

Someone on Twitter said she should have delayed the album again out of respect for the protests, like do they not understand how business works?  :ladyhaha:

Spot on - it's always pissed me off when other people try to kill other peoples joy or excitement over something because something shitty is happening in the world. There's ALWAYS terrible things happening - literally all the time!! I 100% support the Black Lives Matter movement. It makes me sick to my stomach that the police are killing so many black men. It has to change and I feel we're heading there. But I also find joy and solace in music, especially pop and people shouldn't be shamed for indulging themselves regardless of the political or social climate.

OT I don't repost a lot of the social justice memes that are going around because it feels disingenuous, like hopping on a bandwagon - it's a cheap way to bring about change. I feel it's far more important to talk to each in person - to your real friends and family members. But today, one of my friends publicly shamed everyone on his FB timeline that wasn't posting a lot about the protests and the movement and said "I see you being complicit you're part of the problem" etc., So I deactivated Facebook for now. What a toxic thing to do and say to people. I just can't be a part of that toxicity right now.

Most of them are from stan twitter but a few of them are dumb young people who don’t understand how dialogue works. Imagine cancelling people on the same side as you while there are actual problematic public figures on twitter who say either nothing or are openly against BLM. Worms for brain.

That usually comes from a place of envy sometimes. She does things others don't dare to do.

And some of her peers don't like that. This picture says tons:

Ariana been promoting the f out of the album

I mean she's been promoting the hell out of ROM but she hasn't said a peep about the album itself (save for a retweet of a Chromatica promo tweet).

The album was released yesterday, right? Let people listen to it and talk about it over time. Otherwise, everyone will talk about it now and the next week it's over.

1. They know Gaga doesn't need the promo.

2. I don't feel like Gaga associates with too many other celebrities.

3. She doesn't acknowledge others on social media, so they aren't going to acknowledge her either.

Then the obvious. Social justice warriors will attack them for not saying exactly what they want them to say.
