Gaga’s smashes ranked in order of success:

Poker Face > Shallow > Bad Romance > Just Dance >>>>> Born This Way

BTW can hang with the other girls, but it’s nowhere near the mega-smash levels of her other sisters.

The narrative that Just Dance is “dated”, “forgotten”, or “aged badly” needs to stop. It’s a timeless song which still gets played at frat parties, bars, and on the radio in 2020. It’s undeniably a Gaga classic in the US, arguably her biggest.

thank you !

But that is simply not factually true lmao. Just Dance gets way more recurrent streams (both on Spotify and YouTube) than Born This Way. :rip:

and thank you !

But JD has better recurrent stats than BTW :rip:

But it's also about cultural relevance. Everybody knows Born This Way and Just Dance is just not as known anymore. I even like JD more than BTW but I still think that BTW will survive longer.

Can we now stop?

That is one study from over 6 years ago. Songs can die very fast.

They’re talking about impact and longevity not charts. BTW is a LGBT+ anthem. It will remain relevant for YEARS to come.

Yeah this is what I meant, it was mega-front loaded commercially but people still remember it as the ‘gay’ Gaga song and arguably the biggest gay anthem ever (not counting songs like Vogue etc that are have a “gay style” but the ones with explicit gay lyrics/message).

Anyways, I don’t want to drag this discussion forever lmao all of Gaga’s hits were huge and this is why we are so divided when trying to rank her biggest ones, legend thingz

You can't really measure "cultural" impact in a objective way. You let your personal experiences influence your way of thinking. Factually Just Dance is more remembered than Born This Way. It doesn't mean that BTW isn't remembered tho.

Who’s measuring the relevance? You, as a member of the gay community? Cause with the overall population, Just Dance is mush more culturally relevant than Born This Way, reflected by its recurrent streams.

cultural relevance is translated into recurrent streams and Just Dance wins easily so no JD will survive longer overall (with the GP)

With the gay community of course it will be BTW
