March34th 1,973 Posted May 28, 2020 Share Posted May 28, 2020 A group originating on 4chan are planning to coordinate an online (and possibly irl) attack against LGBTQ+ people during Pride Month, by piggybacking off of hashtags and corporation's support during Pride Month. They have expressed plans to use graphic imagery to essentially paint LGBT people in a bad light, sharing illegal content involving minors to create stigma among LGBT people, and dox/leak private or sensitive information about random people on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook who either are LGBT or are supporting the movement through posts relating to Pride Month. They're basically designing this whole thing to target not just the LGBT community, but average social media users who aren't as aware of how to spot fake news or misinformation that easily spreads online. There's some Tweets floating around talking about them also planning to create fake profiles on these sites on June 1 to follow/lurk on pages and begin to collect and share sensitive information, as well as create profiles on apps like Grindr and Bumble to do the same. There's talks about physical violence against people as well. I'm not sure how this will pan out by now, as their plan has been revealed on Twitter and many people have infiltrated their Discord servers to leak more information, but please if you are LGBT keep your eye out on social media as this whole thing develops more. I don't want to create stress or fear but I haven't seen this talked about here yet and I would like to spread the word so we are all aware what could be going on in the coming weeks. You'd think but now there's an actual website out there that HASN'T been taken down where innocent women's pictures and social media info is freely published. You know why? Because they are white women dating or marrying outside of their race and these people don't like that. They are doxxing and harassing white women who are with nonwhite men. This should be considered a public safety threat and yet here we are. They could easily do the same with LGBTQ people. Unless disturbing someone's life severely, nobody should give a fvck that I'm bisexual or others are gay, transsexual, non-binary or whatever. On the other hand, I should feel flattered if someone doesn't like my sexuality, bc that means they're interested or even invested in my life . Ew, David!
