rain on me is not 80s though, it feels much more 90s? i agree that we're currently on a "throwback" scene for pop music but i don't see the problem at all

I looked at the comments to see if there was a general consensus that agreed with his thoughts, but they were just as polarizing. Some were saying that it was a great song and then others were like, "it's nothing special." At least we know the latter people don't have taste

I'd actually say that it has early 2000s vibes... there is some 90s house influences. But I hear these songs being the main influences in Rain On Me:

That's me always feeling guilty with whatching people I despise their opinions but whatch their videos out if curiosity and then I realize dam it I just gave them another view...

My only issue with the song is that there’s no transition between the verses at all. It’s a good song with a fierce drop but I just can’t get into it despite listening to it probably 50 times now. It’s okay, I like it, not love it. Can’t wait for Madeon and Skrillex to nut on my ears when Chromatica is out!!
