We've been in this new era for a little while now, but it hassn't clicked with me yet, in terms of I still don't really get what i's all about. So far to me it's just a lot of pink, and 90s stuff, but what is Chromatica about? This album, what is it all about, I still don't get the concept, where it's comming from? It's just vague to me.

I watched the inteview with Zane Lowe , and I got even more confused sometimes.

Other albums had a clearer meaning If you ask me. TF was about feeling famous, TFM was about fear, BTW was about being yourself, ARTPOP was about art and pop....right?(in one sentence?) Joanne was about home and her family. Chromatica is about her perfect world or something? This is what I'm getting from it, but I feel like I'm missing something?

I love the songs so far tho, and maybe it's still too early to ask these questions, but I just wanna relate more to everything and understand it better.

Well the one thing she keeps repeating is "Dance through the pain"

chromatica is about healing through dance music. in her words, it's about "going back to the dancefloor she earned and reclaiming it" or sumething like that.

the "broader" message is healing though, even though only rain on me truly reflects that so far.

Chromatica is how she sees this world, and it’s also a journey of her pain. Like a huge self exploration. Based off the Beats One interview I’m sure it will all make sense when the album is out. The first interlude is supposedly an “impending doom” orchestral sound, and we’re basically journeying into Gaga’s mind. “Can you pull me out of this alive” is the first lyric of the album. Again I’m sure I’ll all make sense once the album comes out. I also really like the ending of the album, how she mentions she wrote Sine From Above at the end of the album writing, basically her pulling herself out of conflict with the help of music, the sound wave from heaven. And then it end with Babylon where she owns gossip, one of the things that helped put her into the depressive state. Idk it sounds promising to me. Probably her most storyline following record. Idk.

I think it's about how Gaga sees the world as colours or something?

Something about putting things in colours instead of seeing the world as the rainbow it is?

IDK, I'm sure she'll explain it more in depth later

I think Chromatica is just her own perception of reality and how she process world problems in her mind.

She says Chromatica isn’t a fantasy world but her interpretation of how today’s society works.

In one sentence: Chromatica is about her mental heath and how she overcame her trauma.

:cryga: I love it already lol

Chromatica is about accepting the pain you’ve had in your life (radical acceptance) and the healing process that comes with it

it’s also a spectrum. The chromatic scale of sound as well the chromatic circle (of colors) and these both represent spectrum and nuances — meaning everyone feels, struggles and experiences life in a different and unique way and the record is going to portray her perspective, her way of feeling and understand life

It's about healing through sound which can come in so many different variations. She uses colors to visualize the sound, but since it comes in different shapes and forms it's not just one color, but a spectrum ergo Chromatica.

It is about entering the world of Gaga. She's showing you what it's like to live a day in her mind.

she talks about seeing the world and making sense of it. She's not living on earth. She's living on chromatica. We're all living in it in her perception.

This all sounds very deep, but also quite dark. I hope it won't be too melodramatic. Alltough the sound seems happy and playful and the aesthetic is colorful. Idk I'm not feeling it yet, but maybe it's just too early to have an opinion.
