She's been pursuing this really serious manner of talking since Joanne era and in this interview she's sounding even more like that. Maybe she is adjusting her voice to the seriousness of the interview's subject area. Idk. The thing I know is I find this kinda disturbing how she went from her always joyful manner of speaking to this. I've noticed that whenever she's happy or excited she sounds like her old self. Here she sounds very unlike her old self and it hits me even more than her talking about the symptoms of her mental illness. Just imagine trauma, stress, anxiety so intense that were able to change always-happy-Gaga into this serious/sad/tired-Gaga Honestly, I think it’s also part of the campaign to position Gaga as a serious musician. She is of course, but at the end of the day she’s making pop music, so to get the brand aligned to Oscar-Gaga and Grammy-Gaga, she needs to project seriousness into this cycle. So in line with that, interviews aren’t going to fun and frothy even if the music is, they’re about emotional pain & pontificating about how Chromatica “isn’t a dystopia or a utopia”. Rather than just saying it’s a fun cool idea of taking the music to another world.

TheGagaOfItAll 178
does nobody remember she was putting on a fake nice-nice voice for years look at the way she goes back to a deeper voice in her andersoon cooper 60 minutes interview i love this deep voice its honestly SO sexy from her, and she sounds like an adult. which is what she is. Nobody's gonna heal me if I don't open the door

gagzus 15,829
This interview took me on an emotional rollercoaster and made love her more because I’m relating it to my current experiences and her view of radical acceptance is something I think i’ll take on board. Also when she spoke about healing her dad and the pain of when she realised she can’t “fix” him essentially, I have never related to her more than in that segment of the interview because I always try to “fix” people and blame myself when I can’t and spiral. Like recently that happened to me. Rain On Me makes me both emotional and happy all at once so I have a feeling this will replace Born This Way as her best album for me, because it's the depth of Born This Way from my teenagehood with messages of dealing with life’s downsides all grown up and mixed with the desire to dance and make it into something fun and healing like ARTPOP. It also makes me so happy to hear her support the likes of Ariana, BLACKPINK, Billie etc the way Madonna, Grace Jones and others never supported her as a woman with a purpose, she doesn’t feel threatened by them the way Madonna did with her and she doesn’t instinctively hate people with drive and become fake as she ages like Grace has done. And am I SO glad she finally said she doesn’t care if people think she’s annoying for being so positive and loving, because I get sick of both fans and critics of her saying that alike. Ivy 12,475
Like some others are saying, she's said some things in this interview that I needed to hear just at this time. How does she know so well what we need to hear? She's so supportive when you feel like you've got no support the meow in zombieboy
