Like, Gaga had just had years of soft rock and acoustic hits, and got loads of new fans from it. It was always gonna be.....surprising....for some of the GP to hear 'pop Gaga' again. She needed a song that would act as a preview of what this album was gonna be. SL did just that. Cute bop, move on - and onto the main course.
