i mean in all fairness neither one of them are relevant still, they still make amazing music though that's what matters

Nah. I don't think Britney could. Her star has very much faded. Both of them have. But good points. Tbh, Britney stopped being huge after 2011-2012 in my opinion.

How is that when 58K attended her show in London in  2018 !!! she broke records with that one

Again in Isreal they had to delay the election because of her! and 50K people attended the show there!

Idk about you but I think she is more than relevant

 So who won:heart:

Well, Britney did stay more relevant than Xtina, but that cost her so many things. She had a massive breakdown in 2007, she's been under a manipulative conservatorship and has been used as a money machine throughout her entire career. Until this day fame has costed her her freedom.

I know the impact that she has in pop culture, but tbh I'd rather have a shorter but more appreciated career like that one of Xtina rather than this freenzy Britney fame status with a lot of trauma and psychological consequences. So in that way, I think Xtina was able to make an impact for some time and keep a relatively peaceful life.

Neither artist really had much to offer in the music industry and we’d be just fine if they never had careers.

having dedicated fans =/= relevancy, they haven't had recent hit singles, they haven't done massive milestone events, they don't have newer musicians claiming them as idols or inspiration like they used to, they don't set trends anymore. etc.

And that's perfectly fine, they're both amazing family women with music side hustles, even though britney's is basically thrust upon her now. I love Britney more and she is still my childhood popstar idol way before Gaga was. I don't think (just like Gaga, Rihanna and Beyonce) they have anything left to prove anymore. As long as they enjoy their family lives and make music they like their fans will still be there.

People love the nostalgia of them but the newer generation sadly just does not care, it will end up that way for all our faves sadly at some point. The younger generation is more invested in the likes of Ariana, Billie etc and Gaga is on her last legs generation wise for example; once we have the next generation in about 15 years then she'll probably be irrelevant culturally. Look at Madonna for example.

It’s funny how you keep saying Britney is relevant and Xtina is a flop, when you come up with arguments like this. Xtina for example broke records in Morocco in 2016 because 250K attended her show there.

Both will always be remembered and each have their own successes/talents, but let’s not compare the two. It’s not cool and so old. In the end it’s all about their music. I know you hate Christina’s music, but each their own. They make music for the fans afterall, not the haters.

The Morocco concert was a fest only people in the front have to pay money the rest of the people was for free. However, people paid hard money for Britney. Btw didn't Xtina performed in small theater for her last tour I seen some footage the seats were empty tho! the 2 other before that one were cancelled of poor tix sales. but anyway its okay at least she is talented right?

None of them is currently relevant, face the truth. And being honest, if you insist on saying Britney is relevant now, I'm gonna have to tell you that Christina is way more talented, so who cares about relevance? Honestly, the way some people worry so bad about popularity is insane, popularity doesn't mean you're talented and I don't care how popular you are, if you're a manufactured popstar then I don't care about you :bye:

And I love some songs from Britney and I would never deny her impact in pop culture, but that's it.

Britney is a label-puppet robot. She has no artistic vision and creates 1% of her work. She consistently lip syncs and no one seems to care about this. The only thing she can do is dance (barely nowadays), but dancing can be learned by any artist. Overall, she's the epitome of mediocre white girl.

Britney had charisma tho. That was her apeal.

Not that Christina doesn't have charisma anymore (she does), but Christina is more known for actually being a talented singer.

They both in the same place relevancy right now. Both Britney and Christina can't capture the pop culture zeitgeist anymore. All their albums in the 2010s have been commercial and critical flops and can't get a hit single anymore. Both of them have been judges on award shows to capture relevancy to the audience. And both of them have done Vegas shows showing the best times behind them and they might as well just perform for their fans who are still interested.

I'm not shading any of them, really. But they're both way past their prime and neither of them is more commercially relevant then the other these days.

We all know Beyonce is the only singer from the 90s whose managed to become relevant for over 20 years and has become more popular over the last decade. But you know... it's not a contest :classy:

Did you know that one of the reason that more people appeal with britney ? it is because in one interview she said that she wish to have Xtina voice, in another she said that she doesn't have big vocals, in another she said that she love the way she sing with her voice and that's it there is nothing big deal about it. People can relate to someone as Britney more than Xtina who keeps on braging about her voice ability and rubing it in everyone's face. Britney was just the girl that said hey I can't sing that much but I'm here trying. She was down to earth and relatable and she opoend the door for other female popstars, you don't need to have the biggest voice in the world to be a popstar, you need to have an identity and good songs. and its not like Britney voice is bad, the girl can sing, and her voice is so special you can identify her from 100 people in a room :derpga:. You are talking like Britney impact on pop culture was just a little thing. THAT SLAVE PERFORMANCE ALONE WAAAH
